exceptionally well designed and executed hotel; 10 or 10, would only stay here when in Detroit i came in for a Knicks / pistons playoff game and stayed for two nights. only thing that was lame we that they included breakfast with my suite and then when you go the restaurant they give you most basic breakfast. in this case it was an overcooked, basic frittata (6 of 10). if you're in a suite and you want to give a free breakfast you should take that as a change to delight me.. no make me feel like you're being cheap.

Will at check-in started us off with an amazing experience and it kept getting better. He helped us get into our room a little bit early. The complimentary champagne was a perfect Friday afternoon surprise. He also shared some discounts for the activities that we mentioned which was an unexpected delight. Our room was great with the kind of style and character hotels rarely have, in our experience. Everything is exactly as you would expect in terms of style and design from Shinola. We booked our room here because we love the watches and work bag, but wow the quality is great top to bottom in the hotel. The hotel is unbelievably beautiful, with the right amount of cool. This is our spot in Detroit from now on.

Amazing experience, as usual. Stayed one night to do brunch Easter Morning at San Morello. We were treated like VIP by Tonya and the rest of the concierge staff and valet. We will always come back to Shinola for another staycation!! Hands down the BEST hotel in Detroit!

Hands down the best hotel to stay in if youāre visiting Detroit. It feels more like a home than a hotel. Included breakfast at San Morello is a nice touch. My family and I have stayed every Easter for the last four years and will continue to do so!

Great property, exceptional staff. I would return without hesitation. San Morello equally exceptional with interesting menu and great hospitality. And if your wallet is feeling heavy, Shinola shop can help with some nice assortment of products to relieve you of excess cash.
