Daxton Hotel Birmingham Curio Collection by Hilton

I decided to treat myself this time, and what a treat it was. The Daxton is very, very nice. The layout of their entryway and ground floor is very open and inviting. As you walk in, the bar/lounge is to the left. Further back along the same line is their restaurant. I do appreciate their nod to security. You need a room key to access any floor above the ground floor. Each floor has its own pantry. The pantry is a small room where you can get snacks and nonalcoholic drinks, like sodas and water. All this is included in your rate. The room is very cool. The bathroom is off a small hallway. Inside the bathroom, there is a water closet that separates the toilet from the sink and shower. They provided me with lots of towels at least five complete sets. The room's ceiling has crown molding. There are plenty of outlets. My bed had plenty of pillows, too. My count was 8 full sized pillows. Inside the closet are two cotton terrycloth robes and a pair of slippers. It was a great stay!! My "spots" require improved operational attention. I am confused why a member of the Valet team was spending so much time at the front desk/check in, check out area. I said "hello" to a member of the housekeeping team. They looked at me like I was crazy. Once management addresses these two items, I have no doubt that this establishment will be a perennial five-star gem and a shining jewel in the Hilton crown.

If you want a luxury stay cation, Daxton is the place to go. I took my boyfriend for a stay at the Daxton for his birthday. The ambience is amazing. The customer was top tier. And to top off the experience your in the heart of beautiful downtown Birmingham.

The rooms are fantastic and had a good time staying there in past. However, my recent room was connected to another room with group of 4-6 who were up close to 3 AM and made sleep impossible. Attempts to notify staff did not result in any changes. Nobody asked me about my stay when I checked out. It was similar to having a room next to a frat party. Will not stay there again.

A beautiful hotel for a wedding we attended. The service , food and accommodations were excellent ! Highly recommend the Daxton. We didn’t realize that there was valet parking as we turned left on the corner road of the hotel and parked in a lot 1 block away. Worked out and no charge parking for one night stay. Great venue for a wedding too.

Could not find one thing that was bad ! Great staff , Great Room , Great food ! Our room was warm and spacious. Night light in the water closet . The shower was wonderful . We had a valet for luggage and car which is hard to find anywhere . We will be returning.
