I made a reservation here for 3/28 – 3/30. 2 days b4 check-in THEY called ME to let me know they had a BIG rainstorm, and the roof was leaking above the room I was supposed to stay in. They said they could move my reservation to the Hampton Inn across the street. I said I would like to talk to them FIRST, as I don’t think they have the type of room I wanted (one bedroom suite). The young lady said to let her call first. I ASSUMED it was to let them know I was going to call and to inform THEM of the “moving reservations. I waited about 15 minutes (as requested) then called. I let the phone ring TWELVE times, no one answered. So, I went to the Country Inn website and cancelled my reservation. (Cancellation #522536192). As I had concerns with that hotel’s (The Hampton) “commitment to customer service”. That should’ve been the end of it. NOPE, they had moved my reservation to The Hampton w/o my knowledge OR permission. Hampton is charging me $125 for not showing up to a reservation I NEVER KNEW I HAD. I have called the Country Inn THREE times, talked to front desk employees who have said they would tell the Mgr. As of 4/22 ZERO response. This hotel deserves ZERO stars, but 1 will suffice.

We had the best experience with Katrina at the front desk.. she always had a smile on her face and asked if everything was OK and how our room was every time we saw her. The hotel is clean, comfortable and in a great location would highly recommend.

The room was excellent everyone was pleasant except Dominique! I called down to the front desk for a couple was small wash towels and makeup remover packs. Dominique rudely told me to bring the used towels down to her for washing and she would give me fresh ones! Bad customer service on her part!!!!! I would never tell anyone to bring used towels to the front desk!!!!!

I have been staying in Big Rapids for several weeks out of the year the past 3 + years . Last week I stayed at the Hampton Inn , upon check inn my King room had such an odor of dope I asked to be changed . They changed my room to another king which was a small room with a king size bed , no microwave as I asked for . This was going to be a 6+ week stay . I stayed 6 nights , never once was my room cleaned , towels brought , or coffee filled . 6 nights ! Upon checking in to Country Inn , It is a total different atmosphere , Front desk is helpful and cordial , complete opposite of the Hampton and Holiday inn . They are constantly in touch about cleaning room and towels ! Great place to stay , Very clean unlike the other two . Thank You !

Dominique at the front desk made our stay at the Country Inn and Suites a pleasurable experience. Any questions we had she was there to assist and help. She made our stay 5 stars! I thought she was a night manager the way she handled herself but she was a front desk clerk. Promote Dominique to manager!!! You get my vote!
