This facility was state-of-the-art, 30 years ago. Its on beautiful grounds that are kept up well, the owners do a good job keeping it up to date and comfortable in the present day. Be advised the hot tub advertised on other booking sites was removed. What's critical is that it was CLEAN, including my room. Its SAFE, I was on the road for car shows with a very expensive 'classic car' and its safety is far more important than mine, both blocks were checked. It was fairly QUIET on a Friday night and there were a lot of people there judging from the parking lot in the late evening. There are numerous places to eat, get coffee, shop etc right on route 20. And don't overlook their lounge for a bite in the evening, get the "Cowboy Burger". Food and mixed drinks were good and very reasonably priced in their lounge. The pool was fine for a few quick laps. And "Julie" at the front desk is a Goddess, so friendly and so helpful. Only downside is no breakfast and no where to heat that cup of coffee you got from Dunks the night before. UNLESS you requested a microwave and/or a fridge in your room, both available at additional cost. I'll stay here again no matter what car I'm driving...

Run down uncared for hotel. Owners do not care about dirt and deteriorated conditions. Hallways and walkways are a mess. Walkways not good and no proper lighting for safety. There is no convenient way to get to your room because you must walk through a maze to find the elevators and floors. Do not stay here!!

The room was clean *enough* but that's kinda where my good review ends. We came with friends and I'm embarrassed to have stayed here. This hotel is extremely worn down. Unvacuumed stairwells, walls & trim in disrepair. It carried an "old" smell. One vestibule smelled of pee. The indoor pool was cloudy. The lake shore was covered in goose and dog poop. The website said their was mini-golf and paddle boats. Mini-golf just doesn't exist. Paddle Boats don't start until Memorial day itself. No restaurant as stated on the website. Many of the already limited Arcade games didn't function. All the things we picked this hotel for was a bust. I didn't have high expectations but geez, they didn't even meet those. This looks like this WAS a lovely small resort 30 years ago but it needs a serious update. I will say the staff were nice enough.

The staff and atmosphere for my son’s wedding weekend were amazing! An old hotel in the middle of renovations could not have been more cozy and quaint. Wedding guests were booked in multiple types of rooms from a basic 2 queens to king suites to the presidential suite. No complaints from anyone!! The rehearsal after party was held in the stunning indoor atrium with a mini golf theme. This mother of the groom is forever grateful to Lise, the event organizer, for all her above and beyond help over the past year.
