Homewood Suites by Hilton Gaithersburg Washington DC North

Two rooms and a 3-night stay to see Washington DC. Hotel was a great choice for convenient and free parking and free breakfast (shout out to the chia pudding and overnight oats). We had a 10-minute drive to Shady Grove metro stop. Allow 30 mins to Metro Center. We could have stayed closer to downtown, but this worked well for us weighing the pros and cons. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Smooth stay with no issues.

This is about a 45 min drive from DC & the National Mall (depending on traffic). I like the location (close to Costco, gas stations, grocery store, sub shop). The room was large and clean, but the AC was annoying to work with - it would either make the room too cold or too hot - so I was constantly changing it. Breakfast wasn't great, but that's why you have a kitchenette. The parking lot is far from the front entrance too.

Great hotel..rooms, service, etc. However, the hallways were so hot that I felt like an extra in a desert scene from an Indiana Jones movie. The heat immediately triggered a midbrain response which had me sweating like BC when Epstein was arrested. Still..great overall stay!

Hi-rise hotel convenient to shopping and restajrants. Nice, large sized rooms with a separate living room/kitchen from the bedroom. Can easily fit 6 people without being on top of each other and bathroom is good sized. Nice, simple breakfast and easy check-in and out process.

My family stayed for 2 nights (thur & fri) but had a comfortable time here. The hotel exceeded my expectations. Pros: -quiet on the 6th floor, even with being the first room by the elevator (I expected it to be loud and annoying) -nice hot breakfast options -great open area for seating during breakfast and available all hours (as far as I could tell). Great place for groups. Some lounge/couch areas. My kids played some board games together. -clean and spacious rooms -full size fridge, dishwasher, 2-burner, microwave and small kitchen sink -nice staff -coffee and tea available after breakfast (for all hours?? Or until they run out? As far as I could tell) Cons: -really didn't have any on this stay and I'm a critical person!
