Avid Hotels Lexington Hamburg Area an IHG Hotel

Arrived for a one-night stay following a tour to the Ark Encounter. Rooms had not been assigned for our group and the desk clerk was definitely overwhelmed. Once we finally settled in, we were surprised by someone making several attempts to open our door, only to find that one of our fellow travelers was still searching for a room. The clerk had assigned her to rooms (yes, more than once) that were occupied. As for the room itself, it appeared clean, though small and spartanly furnished. As other have mentioned, the water pressure was nonexistent. The mattress was too soft for me- not a complaint but an observation for others who may need a firm mattress. I would not stay here again due to security concerns. Second shift blamed day shift for the mix-up with our reservations but no matter who dropped the ball, it's hard to feel secure when you're staying in a hotel that is this disorganized.

Very nice stay overall. I have stay at other Avid locations. I appreciate daily housekeeping. The area around this hotel has many restaurants, although I stayed here for 4 days, Breakfast is simple and quick. Rooms don’t have microwaves, but there is one in lobby.

What a disappointment for a new hotel. Water pressure is terrible, I mean almost non-existent terrible. The AC unit was so loud we had to turn off the AC in July, in Kentucky... Not comfortable at all The room was ok. EV drivers - Be aware that the EV charger faults out and doesn't reset, so if you're depending on an overnight charge, make other plans. Breakfast was OK for this category of hotel.

Stayed here for one night. Place is clean and looks nice. Staff was friendly. As others have said, rooms are smaller than average but well laid out, bath was good. Towels need to be replaced, pillows were great. Pick up and go breakfast was fair. They did have things for a quick meal, but the two hot sandwiches were a huge fail. They were already heated and wrapped in a paper that stuck to the food. Could not eat those. Might stay again if they fix the breakfast mistakes.

Based on a friend’s recommendation, my husband and I stopped here for one night while on a road trip. Initial impression of a very plain and basic hotel changed by morning. The friendly woman who checked us in explained that the hotel is the result of surveys IHG did to determine what is and isn’t important to its guests. The hotel was clean, rooms adequate size, small fridge in room, no closet, but plenty of places to hang cloths. Bathroom was a nice size with Dove products. Shower was nice with plenty of hot water. The “take and go” breakfast was impressive. Nice variety to choose from and plenty of hot coffee. Bright and cheerful lobby to eat as well as trays to bring food t rom. It is a nice hotel for one night on the road. I do not think I would want to stay for an extended period of time.
