Ramada Hotel & Convention Center by Wyndham Topeka Downtown

Room was very nice! I thought my bed was comfortable although my roommate didn't like hers. We had good television selections - too bad we didn't really have the time to watch it. Toilet usually flushed 😁and the A/C worked. Front desk was nice. The gathering areas were very, very humid, melting ladies' make up like a scene from "Raiders". The breakfast was good, though it closes too early on the weekends - I like to sleep in after everything is done. Did not like the "towel trade-in" idea -- my roommate & I were here for a very busy conference & didn't have time to run dirty towels all across the hotel & run clean ones back up. The maids did not touch our room the entire time we were there. Ran out of facial tissues, almost out of TP, and the trash piled up & up like the streets in NY during a strike. I don't expect beds made everyday with mints on pillows, but we shouldn't have to bag up & take out our own trash. I am used to tipping for room care, but nothing done equals nothing tipped. They did get the bar & grill opened in time for our group's gathering, they need to read their groups though, a 9pm close time was way too early (& some of these people would've imbibed). Long story short, it's a good place, I can tell they're working on it, it’s still got potential to be better than it is.

Convenient downtown location. Have a nice bar & restaurant in hotel - food was very good. Breakfast in the AM was great- with wonderful service by Mike & Vanessa. Also walking distance to some other restaurants. But avoid the Iron rail brewing. Rooms clean. Hotel quiet. If in Topeka give it a try. Also Blind tiger brewery is a great place to stop & only about 10 min away

Very good breakfast with a large selection of options and kind people to greet you in the morning. Quick and easy check in. Clean room and bathroom. Parking near elevator or entrance to hotel. Pool, fitness, sauna and hot tub available. Will be staying again and letting family and friends know this is a great option!

I mostly liked my time at the Ramada. It’s got a lot of history and the atrium area is unique and lovely. The rooms are decent, nothing special. Shower is good and the pillows and bed are comfy. The lack of room service was disappointing. We stayed four days and they didn’t make up the room once. Front desk said they only come every three days. So trash piled up in the room and there we had to make the beds. You can get fresh towels at the front desk otherwise you’re stuck with the ones you first get. Same with toilet paper, gotta get more at front desk. Annoying. Also the elevators were spotty. There a sign saying they’re being modernized but we never saw anyone working on them. Breakfast is good. Soft scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage. Biscuits and gravy, waffles, toast, the works! So I would stay here again but hope they fix these issues. It’ll be a great place.

Staff were very helpful, breakfast was great, my two rooms were clean and the room amenities were nice, I liked the inclusion of the coffee maker with some instant coffee and tea. The room with two beds seemed a little nicer than the one with a single bed, but neither were bad at all. I'll definitely keep this hotel as a top consideration for my next stay.
