Housekeeping never came in 3 days (never got new towels. Rooms are reserved mostly for railroad workers and very little attention paid to regular guests. We had a non refundable booking with a king room but they gave us a queen and didn’t give us the reduced rate they promised at check in. Family of 3 so this was frustrating (have a toddler).

This hotel hosts a crew that works on the Railroad. There is little in the way of amenities. There is no breakfast and check-in is at Pennies Diner. We found used towels in our bathroom and we had ants and other bugs in our room.

Peculiar situation with this motel … there was no staff in the motel, sign said check-in was across the parking lot at the diner, staff there were very surprised we had a confirmed on-line reservation thru TripAdvisor Expedia, had to check with supervisor but agreed to honor our reservation. Turns out this motel is a facility catering to shift workers with UPI railroad and we saw no other general lodging guests. The facility was spotlessly clean, the workers staying there were friendly and extremely quite, but with no staff and no lights in the hallways created an eerie atmosphere. If this is more than a short-term situation perhaps this facility shouldn’t be available for on-line booking.

This hotel is small, but nicely maintained. You check in and out at the diner next door which had very friendly staff, great food, and coffee. The hotel itself was very clean, and I constantly saw staff cleaning the common areas. The room was nice, clean, comfortable, and had decent storage for clothes and luggage. The bed was clean and felt new. Overall great place and a great experience. I'd definitely recommend it. Book in advance though, they have a deal with the local railroad and fill up quick.

Ends up checkin/out is at the diner across the parking lot, but that was far from obvious until we got our luggage to what seemed to be the front door. THis very unual fearture should be highlighted on the website or by a sign visible from the parking lot. Took 3 trips back to the diner for the outside door to open, and then only because they finally figured out that there was an issue on the door we were trying to use. No coffee, no bath mat. I will say the place was very clean.
