Small town friendliness. Our room was extremely clean with a comfortable bed and pillows. Refrigerator and microwave were in the room. There was no breakfast provided but the price was reasonable. Try Central Cafe for your breakfast. The best waitress possible and good food too.

Room and motel were well-kept and clean. Exactly what we expected. Great Hotel in a small town. There was no breakfast at the motel, however there was a great little restaurant in town for a great breakfast.

My wife and I stayed at Harvest Inn in mid-July. We came on an absolutely sweltering day and were overjoyed to find that the rooms were properly cooled BEFORE we arrived and that the Amana air-conditioner/heater units worked quietly and very well. The Harvest Inn was clean and very well maintained. It looked, felt and smelled like it had just been built. My wife and I travel quite a bit, staying in lodgings probably 60 nights a year. If every hotel/motel were as nice as this one I'd be overjoyed. The beds were VERY comfortable and clean. The staff was accommodating. The atmosphere was quiet. The electronic locks on the doors worked the first time every time (amazing!). The showers had good pressure, and the water temperature was readily adjustable. We stayed two nights, and when we arrived back at our room the beds had been made. I assumed that was common practice, but we didn't experience it during a stay at a Best Western in the Black Hills earlier that week during a three night stay. I've seen some poor reviews of this establishment. I've stayed at the Harvest Inn, and find no basis for the negative reviews. Again, I wish this place was at the end of every day I spend on the road.

Okay, this is the only hotel in Hawarden, but if you can swing it try and find a place to stay in another town. The rooms were clean and the beds okay. Our experience with front desk staff was just fine. However........ This place was a little more like camping than a hotel experience. There is no elevator and we were based on the second floor. There is no breakfast, and on Sunday morning there are no cafes open in the town! The shampoo supplied is just a ketchup packet. Try opening that with wet hands in the shower. There is no bar soap, just wall mounted foaming soap at the bathroom sink and in the shower! Even at that the soap dispenser at our sink was empty. I would not return to this place again.

The rooms were clean and the lady at the front desk was very friendly. The only reason I didn't give this hotel 5 stars is that they do not serve breakfast. Not even any pastries or coffee. There is a small coffee pot in the room. But for the price I cant' complain. I would recommend it to others.
