Candlewood Suites Bloomington an IHG Hotel

This is a great place to stay! The staff is super helpful and accommodating. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The location is great and close to the highway. Will definitely stay here again if we ever get back to Bloomington.

Here is an objective review: Easy checkin Nice front desk staff We got 500 points by picking a rubber toy Front desk was out of water bottles Got water from a cooler in the gym Two double beds, comfortable beds Clean room Clean Bathroom Shower pressure not great Hand Soap dispenser installed poorly under a shelf over the vanity, hard to pump soap. No housekeeping visited in the two nights we were there Kitchenette in the room with a sink Well equipped gym with a TV Indoor pool, looked descent, did not try. No noise from other rooms Slight street noise could be heard Curtains could be better Room was half hardwood and half carpet 9 minutes from IU campus by car Free parking

This was the first stop of a four day stay in Bloomington. The pool ( which is one of the reasons we selected the motel) was closed and the desk clerk seemed annoyed when I asked when it might be open- “I have no idea”. The “accessible “ room had a step in shower and a cheesy plastic liner . When there was no ETA on the pool the next morning and more attitude we checked out and moved to another motel.

Just stayed 2 nights here in a King Suite. Definitely do not recommend. Front desk staff was nice but wow the room had seen better days. Shower curtain torn, bathroom light burned out and full of bugs, tile hanging off wall, cabinet finishes worn through. Housekeeping came while we were gone, took our used towels but didn’t replace them. Did nothing else to the room. Can’t believe we had to pay an ultra premium price for this 2 star hotel 👎🏻

Hotel was a little dated. The room had potential that was left at the door. Stayed for one night and glad that was it. The air conditioner ran all night even though we shut it off. The water pressure out of the shower was non-existent. We should have waited for a rain shower.
