Now a Comfort Suites, this hotel is what is expected for a budget hotel. Attached to a Pizzeria Uno in the lobby, there seems to always be someone standing outside the door with a bottle of booze, 2ltr of soda and smoking a cigarette...AT ALL TIMES! The rooms are the smallest suites you can imagine, the pullout couch hits the TV stand so you can not use the fridge with it open. The TVs are like 24" from 2000. Paint pealing, caulk splitting....AND they charge $18 for parking. Free breakfast though.

Absolutely filthy rooms with price gouging during a larger event. The room included -free human hair and leftover food particles -splatters on the chair and crumbs -dirty microwave -dirty coffee maker -every wall surface covered with some grime/patches -cracks in the wall seams -splattered curtains -residue in the tub -broken drawers -stains and what appears to be water damage in the drawers complete with residue/dirt -a shuttle which looks like a pizza van -paid parking -sticky brown substances on the edges of the nightstand and beyond beat up furniture For $767 for a Thursday to Monday morning checkout should be criminal. We walked in, saw the state of the place, and walked out after our *lovely* introduction to the place, which included a staff member that couldn't even make eye contact that I had to ask for the total of the rooms stay 4 times before they would give it to me. Please, save your money and look elsewhere, I promise driving a few extra miles is worth the substantial upgrade in quality to the rooms, as well as peace of mind to trust hygiene is handled in a professional (and at a minimum), average standard. Check your appliances before you house them if nothing else, and check under your mattresses and sheets. All this was found in less that 10 minutes. I’ve been pursuing a refund for the $767 this place cost us despite not being there for more than a few minutes while we booked a new hotel, and the manager has not contacted us back, I am hoping to avoid opening a dispute. This is absurd, and an embarrassment. Mind you, again we cancelled due to unhygienic rooms and horrid service, something that’s within the hotels control, and something we could not estimate. We didn’t cancel due to “changing our mind” or lack of planning. They didn’t just miss one thing, this sort of care must be a standard. The management seems to only respond to bad reviews to fluff you up and gouge you when you’re away from the public eye. They do not care, same problems have been reported for years. Cant wait to see what fluffy letter they post here while doing nothing behind the scenes. Buyer/renter/traveler beware.

I stayed in this hotel for an event booked in the banquet hall. Neither met my expectations set by the website description of the facility. First, the room. Every room is a suite, right? The pictures show a sofa bed in the 'living room' area of the suite. Mine had two banquet chairs. Kinda tough to sleep on those. The toilet handle was installed wrong and nearly impossible to flush, and the constant dripping of the shower was maddening. The front desk offered to move us to another room, but it made me wonder why I was placed in a substandard room if a fully equipped room was available. I suggested a discount for staying in the room and avoiding the inconvenience of moving. They declined. Second, the hotel. The room near the elevator that was supposed to house ice and vending machines was empty on our floor, with a paper sign asking us to travel to a different floor and apologizing for the inconvenience. Half the hotel is subject to this inconvenience, based on the sign. The next insult is charging a parking fee to self park in their lot. This is just a cash grab. They could control access by issuing the dashboard passes they currently use, but are padding their fees because the hotel is poorly managed. Also, rather than placing a temporary deposit hold on a credit card for 'potential damages' they actually charged my card and assured me that it would be refunded later. We'll see. Oh, and the Wi-Fi is crap. If able to connect the signal is weak and kept dropping out. Next, the banquet hall. The facility for the most part was fine. Clean tablecloths, comfortable chairs. They placed filled water glasses at each place setting but didn't bring water carafes to refill them until after dinner, and those held about 1 liter. For 8 people?! No one received a second refill. They failed to provide a microphone for our event, said that it wasn't available because it hadn't been charged and then just shrugged like it wasn't a big deal. What failed here was the staff. The cash bar had one inexperienced bartender trying to fill orders for 100 people. The second person behind the bar was there only as a cashier. The line was long. So long, in fact, that people walked out of our banquet into the hotel's bar to get served. The buffet had only one tray of each item and ran out of everything almost immediately, while we had to wait for the ONE employee working the entire banquet to resurface to request a full restock of the buffet. Service was incredibly slow. At least the food was good. The fluorescent lights remained on for most of the banquet, with no staff able to figure out how to turn on the chandeliers and cut the harsh tube lighting, or it just didn't occur to anyone. Lights flickered throughout the evening. This is NOT a place I would choose to stay again, nor would I book an event here. It's a shame because it's in a great location, and walking distance to multiple restaurants.

Our stay at this hotel was fine but was blotted by an issue with the 'holding' payment. The hotel held a payment for $50 on a credit card just in case there were any issues during our stay. That's fine by me and is policy in most hotels. Normally the pending payment disappears after a few days. Unfortunately this payment was actually taken from my account and despite emailing the hotel and also contacting hotels.com this payment his still not been refunded. Hotels.com contacted the hotel on our behalf only to be told that it 'should' be refunded within 3 to 5 days. As yet no refund has been made. We didn't have any correspondence from the hotel to say why they took this payment so it is an unauthorised payment. As all other efforts to get this refund have failed to date I can only hope that the manager will pick up on this review and act upon it. I look forward to hearing from him.

Clean and efficient and handy to the the airport (15minn drive). Shuttle service is efficient - you use the link they send you to call a lift, so no issues if you dont have a USA sim in your phone. Hotel is a bit old and tired and tatty but its fine and perfectly good for one or two nights. The area is nice to walk around too and plenty of restaurants
