Safari King/Glamping Tent Beware . No outdoor fires or grills are allowed. Per staff, this is due to space constrictions and tent material. So no roasting hotdogs, s’mores, or sitting out around a campfire. This needs to be boldly listed on their website to avoid unhappy campers and bad reviews. . Glampers are hot, hot, hot! Outside temps were in the high 90’s and even keeping everything closed up with limited daytime opening and closing of door flap, it was hotter inside the glamper than outside. They advertise air conditioning but it’s a plug in floor model that doesn’t do much more than a fan. Staff said it’s because tent walls aren’t insulated and don’t retain cool air. We knew there was a chance of high heat, which is why we choose an air conditioned option. It ruined our vacation and we had to cut our trip short because family members got sick from heat. Campground set an expectation of at least some air comfort and didn’t deliver. This review is specific to safari king tents. Vacationers we spoke to in wooden cabins were comfortable. . We bought wristbands that gave us all day access to the wibit play area in the water. But the wibit area doesn’t support the number of campers they have booked. They had a waiting list. Once in, we were limited to 2 hours in the water. Then they call your name and make you get out, at which point you have to put your name back on the waitlist. Very disappointing.

20 years of camping at this park and was so excited when it became a Jellystone. I Can honestly say we had no complaints until this year. It has become obvious that money not a good family experience is the goal now! Had to walk through the weeds all around our $200 cabins to get in. No curtains on the cabins and everyone could see us and our children through the windows. Broken/Bad shape picnic tables $65 for a golf cart that had not been cleaned, maybe ever, but the grossest part was someone’s used toenail clippers were in the cup holder. (and yes I get they get dirty, but for $65 it should be clean upon pickup) Young staff racing around in carts and almost ran us into the lake. You’re lucky if anyone answers the phone or responds to email. Very unfortunate, when Deb & Ted took over, they were so ambitious and proud to make it a nice experience, but whoever is running it now is obviously not hands on and has no clue what is going on in the park. Greed ruins everything :(

I took my 12 year old granddaughter and 2 of her friends. We did the day passes. They had a very good time. All of the staff members were very friendly and helpful. Zane and Konner helped us inflate a large raft. The price is very reasonable. The bathroom was clean. They all had ice cream from the pool cafe. I will visit again. We were impressed.

Very clean and quiet! The area was a perfect getaway. The only reason I do not rate it 5 would be because of no internet connections in the area. It was not that big of a deal but it would have been helpful to know ahead of time so I would not have expected to do some work on my laptop while there. We did bring games to play which was good as there was no tv available although there was TV in the room. Everything seemed new and up to date except no tv signals or internet. We would go again without my laptop! LOL!

Check-in was easy because the office was open when we got there. The staff was friendly and helpful. We got check into our cabin (South Shore Yogi) with no problems. Fire wood has to be purchased there, and is a little expensive, but that's to be expected. We chose this cabin because it had wifi. I work remotely. We were unable to connect to internet or the TV and the office was closed by the time we had tried it, so I lost wages. The next day we called the office and were told there's a cube in the room that has the password, and that internet had been spotty because they think there was water damage. We tore the cabin apart looking for it to no avail. We then stopped in the office and she gave us a key to the next empty cabin to grab that cube, but there was no cube there, either. She was going to have someone check the room, which they did. We left for our activity and I received a call later that afternoon that because the cabin is "new", they haven't been set up for internet yet. Really? How would she not know this when she works there every day? *And that cabin is advertised as having wifi.* Of course the next night it rained, so we couldn't have a fire and had no wifi/TV as a back up other than my phone, which went in and out. When we checked out we asked for a discount since the room was advertised as having wifi, but she said we weren't charged for wifi, that it's a perk, so no discount. Guess wifi isn't part of the $100/night room cost (off season). Very unhappy about that, especially since I couldn't work as planned and lost money. The only other complaint is that none of the windows had blinds, only a valance, so we put a towel over our bedroom window to keep the morning sun out. Oh, and our garbage can outside was already full when we got there, but we made it work for the couple of days we were there. We loved having a cabin (with a bathroom!) right on the water and the fall scenery was pretty. The fire ring was nice and we enjoyed a fire the first night. The cabin was clean. If you go in the off season, be sure to check on their office hours, as they aren't what was posted online or on their office door. Staff was friendly and tried to help, but we won't stay there again because there was no consideration for lack of advertised wifi. lf you need wifi, you better call first, but you may not get a correct answer.
