Comfort Suites Mattoon

The hotel is in the midst of replacing the elevator, which was declared on booking site, however, even after speaking to a reservation host a few days earlier, it was indicated that the pool and spa were open and operational. Not so, as I discovered up upon checking in. We were assigned a handicap accessible room although not requested. The room was clean and well stocked, but nothing exceptionally good. Breakfast bar was a bit above the average fare, at least it was fairly well attended to. Staff was friendly and helpful. Under circumstances where everything was working and operational it would be a decent value, but for now, pricey for the value received.

This hotel I would recommend if their construction projects are completed. Right now August 2024 there is no pool, jacuzzi or ELEVATOR. That's right a 3 story hotel you have to walk up and down the stairs to your room. Rooms were comfortable and clean but the stairs were difficult to say the least. I probably would not stay there again just because they did not make it clear the connection going on when booking. At least they should adjust their pricing on upper level floors. Just not honest or helpful.

One of the best comfort suites I've ever stayed at. Really nice, clean hotel with great size suites. Beds were very comfortable, towels nice and thick, refrigerator, super high ceilings. Breakfast was a good variety of items. There was a restaurant next door which had great burgers.

The elevator was broken and had been broken for four months at this point. I called the other day to check before I booked another stay and the elevator is still broken. Six months with a broken elevator is ridiculous, it’s clear the owner is not interested in repairing it or customer service.

We enjoyed a very nice stay at this hotel. The access to this hotel is easy due to it being right next to the interstate. The rooms were quite comfortable, and the hot breakfast was good with lots of options 😋! Check in was smooth and easy!
