Flopped in the comfy-looking chair after a 5 hour drive and promptly stood back up. My bad for not seeing it is a pet-friendly hotel; they apparently do not shampoo carpets or clean furniture after having a pet stay, as the chair smelled strongly of cats and we coughed/were congested all night (we thought only one of us were allergic, so, thanks?). Mold in corners of shower. Finally, no mention of paid parking through the website I booked through. Fortunately this was only a one day stay, but next time I will check TripAdvisor first.

I recently had a terrible experience at this hotel and I feel compelled to share it to warn others. First, the shower had black mold, which is absolutely unacceptable. On top of that, tiles were falling off the walls, making the bathroom feel unsafe and unclean. I was also shocked to find out that I was charged for parking each night of my stay without any prior notice. This hidden fee added up quickly and left a sour taste in my mouth. The bedding gave me a skin rash, which was incredibly uncomfortable and concerning. Additionally, there was a bad smell permeating both the room and the hallways, making my entire stay unpleasant. To top it off, the customer service at the front counter was terrible. The staff seemed more interested in their phones than in checking me in or addressing my concerns. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here. I will never stay at a Marriott hotel ever again.

BEWARE: $12 parking fee - never disclosed during booking or check-in. Automatically charged. Considering the Chicago suburbs location, surprising they charge for parking. When called about it, that this was never disclosed during booking or in the booking confirmation email or at check-in, the hotel management was very discourteous.

Clean & comfortable room, friendly staff at check-in. The property has a nice bar & lobby area with a breakfast area also with many hot food options for breakfast. The only negative was the hotel bar closed at 10pm during the week.

The hotel seemed to be ok overall in common areas, the sheets and towels smelled like bleach which I personally prefer but the shower and bathroom were disgusting. I mean DISGUSTING. Maybe I’m just too picky (see the pictures and decide for yourself). As a lifetime gold member that has stayed in tons of Marriotts either I am getting pickier or cleanliness at Marriott properties is going down (really far down) I find it so disappointing. I’ve had cleanliness issues with 3 of the hotels I’ve stayed at in the last year… again maybe I’m getting too picky.
