Eaglewood Resort and Spa

We loved our September 2024 wedding at Eaglewood so much that we returned for their Valentine’s Day package. Stepping into our spacious king suite, we realized it was the same one from our wedding night—such a thoughtful touch by Eileen Miller and her team! We relaxed in the hot tub, then enjoyed a romantic four-course candlelit dinner with champagne. A perfect getaway—we can’t wait to return!

We had a great time; the staff was super helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortably designed. The Spa was amazing. I've never had a more relaxing, joyful massage. It was a Himalayan salt massage with Kathryn, she was so calming and friendly, with amazing skills, there was never a time that I was uncomfortable (I'm a very anxious person). I highly recommend the Spa and Kathryn, well worth the money!

I stayed at the Eaglewood Resort for one night to attend a conference. It was a short stay because I arrived late in the evening. The centerpiece of the resort is the golf course which I did not use. The hotel is in suburban Itasca, comfortably close to O'Hare Airport. The resort sprawls so your room may be a long walk from check-in. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. Meeting rooms are conveniently on-site.

I was genuinely disappointed with this resort. The rooms were incredibly old, outdated, and not clean at all. We were on the 9th floor with a balcony where the lock didn't work, which is so unsafe. I had a standard room, while my parents stayed in a penthouse suite. Despite the beautiful view, the space felt cramped, dark, and dirty, clearly in need of renovation. When it was time for them to check out, they couldn’t even get a bellman to assist, which was a challenge for two elderly guests having to navigate stairs, an elevator, and a long walk. We were there to celebrate my dad's birthday, and all our guests were equally disappointed. The pool being in a separate building that required an outdoor walk didn’t help either. The pool itself was not impressive—it was dirty, and the steam room smelled like old towels. Additionally, the man at the front desk was quite unwelcoming. The only bright spot was Cathy at the bowling alley, who was incredibly kind and made great drinks. Unfortunately, her kindness wasn’t enough to make us want to return.

I was pleasantly happy with what we got. We had came from another hotel that was TERRIBLE. So getting to our room here was a breath of fresh air. The reason I won’t be giving 5 stars is because of the bathroom. However, the good things were the bed was decently comfy. Loved having a balcony even if we were looking at the parking lot. The man that helped take us to our room, with our luggage was very kind. They let us check in early. We used points for this stay, but it was nice. Water was nice and warm for a shower. Overall very clean.! Could use some upgrades but I am very pleased with our experience! We didn’t get to check the pool, spa, or bowling out… I wish we had more time.
