SpringHill Suites Boise West Eagle

Great rooms, great breakfast, great amenities. Glad this was the place to be. Enjoyed the atmosphere where folks can join for fun and social interaction. Location is not too many minutes from freeway but in a quiet neighborhood which lets you sleep in quiet comfort.

Among my numerous trips to Boise area over the past 10+ years, my first and most recent stay in this Marriott facility in June turned out to be the worst one. As an elite Bonvoy member consistently above Platinum, I generally accept whatever arrangement made by the hotel, to have an objective experience for the review. 1. This facility is quite isolated, far from airport, down-town, highway, and other general convenience. 2. The west side of rooms exposed to Sun can get very hot during summer. Unfortunately, what exacerbate the situation are the old type of air conditioner and fan that simply can’t keep up with the heat to keep the room cool, although the renovation was supposedly just done about 5 years ago. The room can be above 80degree still after 10PM. The fan is just too noisy to be left on during the night to have a good night sleep. 3. The daily rate was 259 US$ plus taxes, about twice the base rate of much nicer ones I had stayed. The breakfast is just like any other Marriot facilities, but somehow the coffee is just terrible here. 4. There is absolutely no concept of Marriott Bonvoy privilege to elite members at this facility. Unlike all other Marriott facilities I have stayed, this facility apparently does not do any special arrangement and pre-audit of the room for elite Bonvoy members. There was not even complimentary bottled water, something probably should be provided to any regular guest. They won’t know or care about your elite status, until retroactively when complaints were filed during Bonvoy survey. As a loyal Bonvoy elite member, I usually limited my complaints internally within, to protect Bonvoy reputation. However, the assist GM acts like a used car salesman, trying to defend un-defendable, deflecting issues to customer and showing no sincerity to improve service going forward. Dr. Z

One night stay. Check in was easy and fast. Workout room had enough modern equipment to satisfy my cardo and weights needs. My room was standard SpringHill Suites (old version) with no renovation of the bathroom (e.g. shower curtains instead of plexiglass). The bed was comfortable enough and I had a good night's sleep. No issues with free parking. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. Considering the price paid ($215 + taxes), i was underwhelmed. Very pricey for a 3-star property.

This is the second time that we stay at this hotel and they seem to be improving year by year. Everything is almost to perfection. The rooms are comfy and quiet while the continental breakfast is supreme and staff is super friendly. The check-in and check out was quick and easy.
