Our experience hosting the Safe Place Foundation Annual Gala at the Hilton Garden Inn was nothing short of exceptional. The service and food were stellar, exceeding our expectations in every way. Angie Baker and her outstanding team, including Gerold, Vicki, Becki, Cameron, and Rochelle, ensured the event ran seamlessly from start to finish. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and warm hospitality made all the difference. If you're looking for a venue to host your event, we highly recommend the Hilton Garden Inn. They truly go above and beyond to make any occasion unforgettable!

Parking was very easy. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. There are two elevators in working order, so we never had to wait a long time. The room was clean and nicely furnished. There were handy reading lamps and charging next to the bed, a mini fridge and a coffee station. The shower was spacious. Our mattress and pillows were comfortable. This is really important to me. Our room faced east, but the shade did a nice job of blocking out the morning sun. Noise from the hallway and other rooms was average. We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel because it’s not complimentary, but we knew this in advance. We were very satisfied with the hotel overall.

If I could give a negative number of stars, I would. I am a frequent Hilton guest staying at a variety of locations in the Midwest and never have I encountered such rude and unhelpful staff. I have stayed at this location once before, had planned again for my frequent trips to Iowa because it’s a reasonable location and is clean. Anyhow, had a reservation that I needed to change because my work travel had changed. Called to cancel the same day, and do recognize that this was late notice, the staff member said not a problem. I have done this multiple times before without any issue, part of why I have VALUED being a frequent guest. Proceeded to make a reservation in DesMoines. Arrived today at the CR location to find out I was still being charged. Needless to say, Hilton does not have MUTUAL value for their guests! The GM, Will Cubbage, would not bend. Instead he “met me halfway” and charged me 1.5 times for the night I was staying. Got it. I will be switching all of my travel stays to Marriott. Had I been given all of the information when I called to cancel, I would have driven the extra 3 hours back and forth (begrudgingly) to avoid the extra charge for the stay. Will had the nerve to tell me I didn’t ask the right question
. Well if I were a valued guest, that distinction without a difference would have been a moot point. Congratulations, you have lost a longtime loyal customer. Well done! Looks like the Fairfield Inn in Cedar Rapids will be my new hotel of choice!

My husband and I recently had our reception at the Hilton Garden Inn, and we were beyond pleased with our experience! Tami helped us through every step and ensured the day was exactly as we wanted. The staff present the night of the reception were incredibly professional and helpful. The food was wonderful and the venue comfortably sat close to our 200 guests. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Thank you, Hilton Garden Inn!

My husband and I had our wedding reception and rehearsal dinner at the Hilton Garden Inn, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff were so helpful throughout the entire planning process, and we were so happy with how the day turned out. They made everything very easy for us, allowing us to enjoy our day. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it, along with the beverages we wanted. The hotel staff was very attentive the whole night, making sure everyone was taken care of. Many of our guests commented on how well the night went. The staff went above and beyond to send the hotel shuttle to pick us up on our way to the reception when we ran into transportation issues. My husband and I stayed at the hotel on our wedding night as well. The room was perfect. Everything was clean and well-kept. We were able to rest well after a busy day. The breakfast buffet the next morning was also very good. The Hilton Garden Inn helped us create a memorable wedding day. We'd highly recommend them for weddings and other events.
