Are you kidding me... 75 bucks for one night to bring my dog!!! Heck, that makes for a $200 night in little ole Richmond Hill, Georgia! The GM of the hotel says the reason for the $75 fee is "The pet fee of $75 per night is clearly stated in the hotel’s policy..." (well, not really, you need to go fish for it). "Our pet policy and associated fees are set in accordance with operational costs, which include deep cleaning after pet stays to maintain a high level of cleanliness for all guests." I don't recall seeing any housekeeping staff lugging around any deep cleaning equipment, so I cry foul! Nevertheless, this is a new property and the rooms are very nice. It is all suite hotel so you've got a lot of space in the room. And you don't have the problems of an old hotel with funky smells, dirty sheets or towels, and so forth. It is among the Marriott brands of hotels, so most of the time you do get a quality room.

We’ve stayed at this SpringHill before — it’s a great midpoint for our road trips between NC and SoFlo. It continues to deliver immaculate rooms, hallways, and the rest of the facility. Has a super cute outdoor ā€œdunkingā€ pool, and a larger-than-most exercise room. The rooms are spacious, for which we are grateful, since we travel with 2 or more bikes (depending on the trip) that we haul indoors. We arrived late at night and the desk agent (sorry, didn’t get her name), was thoughtful and attentive, acknowledging our titanium status, handing us snacks & water without prompting, ensuring we had a non-train-side room, and was even apologetic for the lack of a feather-free room (something indicated in our customer preferences, but which is rarely delivered… we don’t sweat this; it’s nice when it happens, but we manage fine when it doesn’t). Apparently she even tried calling us to let us know, but our customer record lists our home phone and not our mobile… lol… so, no dice. I would happily stay here in the future, and recommend that others give it a chance. I know people are bummed out by the nearby trains, but I have to say I have *never* heard them on the multiple occasions we’ve stayed here.

SpringHill Suites, a brand under the Marriott umbrella, was founded in 1998 from a desire to offer travelers a refreshing and innovative lodging experience. It quickly gained popularity for its contemporary design, spacious suites, and excellent service and, as of 2021 had over 500 hotels. There are several (about 20) of these hotels in Georgia. This particular one is located on the south of Savannah on the northwest side of the I-95 and US 17 intersection. Check-in was easy and the staff was friendly. They warned us about the train. The site is located right next to a train that runs several times over our visit there so if the noise makes it difficult for you to rest, you may want to choose another location to stay. There is plenty of parking around the hotel. The hallways look very new in their design and are bright and clean. We got an upper floor room. The rooms are single-room suites with a desk with glass windows as a wall between the bedroom/bathroom and the sitting area. The sitting area comes with a couch, desk and small kitchen arrangement with no sink. There is a single TV shared between both spaces. The room seemed well-kept and functional. Overall, the SpringHill Suites in Savannah, Richmond Hills, Georgia, was a good choice, even with the train, to stay on our travel through the area.

Visiting family in town, conveniently located for us. Nice parking. Friendly staff. Large clean building. We got a comfortable king size bed. Great products. Good water pressure, very hot water. Negative: Adjacent to train tracks, train uses horn!! They do tell you this at check in, in advance. Recomended Slainte

New hotel, very clean, good breakfast and friendly service from front desk at check-in and check-out to the breakfast crew. Easy access off of 95. At check-in, they told us of the nearby train tracks. We only stayed overnight and didn’t hear anything, in fact, slept well. Maybe we were on the far side of the tracks?
