Extended Stay America Select Suites Atlanta Kennesaw

I wanted to give it a few days to cool down to post my review, Just to make sure the horrible experience really happened. It was my fault, I should have read the reviews before booking. We came to Georgia for a basketball tournament. We booked here because we were looking for a room with a full kitchen and with the sports tournaments in town, options were rather limited. Extended Stay must be aware of this and decided to scam customers into booking with them by making these rooms available on their website, just to let us know on arrival that the room we booked is not available. "We don't know how that happened". You can tell James has his spiel down to a tee. Also, I booked directly through their site, a month in advance, using my Extended Perks account, not a third party booking site. We got to our room and it smelled horrible, like stale cigarettes and a dirty mop. The floor was still wet. The couch and pull out looked like someone had perished on it, bathroom counter was filled with burn marks [no smoking policy? RIGHT....] The "kitchen" was in horrible condition, as you can see. They also DO NOT provide any pots and pans, they have them available for $40. After a 10 hour drive, we checked in at 4pm and had to head to my kid's basketball practice. We return to the room exhausted and hungry around. Just to find NOT EVEN THE MICROWAVE WORKS. That was the last straw for us, we went down and requested a full refund and left immediately. It seemed like the girl was used to the situation, she offered another room or a full return. I booked at another hotel and requested a refund- which there were no issues with. Woke up the next morning with a charge for 1 night. I called the hotel right away (within the hour of receiving the email about the charge) and was informed James is no longer available. He came in to run the reports, charge us for a night and left for the day. Aside from pulling out the bed, we did not touch anything. Just sanitized all the surfaces. But, the girl on the phone said he made that decision since they weren't able to book the room to anyone else. However, we were offered to change rooms, there were clearly other rooms available for them to offer/book. Please do not book here. Spend a little more and go somewhere else. Save yourself, your family from this unfortunate experience.

The staff was great and the manager was great he help me with everything. This is really a home away from home. I loved everyone that worked here especially the house keepers who worked really hard to keep the rooms cleaned espically the head housekeeper Gracie.

I been using this location and the other down the street for months now. My employees like it and the rates are cheap. James or Ellis are always there to answer my billing questions or send my receipts. And major thank you to the housekeepers ..

This place is more like an apartment. It has dishwasher ovens/stovetops and microwaves and a lot of cabinet space. No ice maker :( but they have little trays if you have the time and patience. The front desk also closes at 10pm and opens at 10am so if you get locked out you have to wait for 5-10 min for someone to come get you keys

The place is clean and has a fresh scent. The manager was cleaning windows when we walked in which speaks volumes of the establishment. The staff was friendly and made me feel welcomed. Only con is that they charge for literally everything. If you want extra towels, if you want dishes or pots. Everything is a charge. So run to Walmart before you stay here. 8/10
