We often visit the Westin Jekyll Island Beach Resort in November or February. That time of year it is not overly busy, which we enjoy. It is a dog friendly hotel, and the staff could not be more welcoming. The front desk staff are so helpful. Bikes are available for guests and there are well cared for trails all over the island for biking and walking. The hotel is being remodeled, and the changes are very nice and much needed improvements. There is transportation provided to restaurants on the island, but quite honestly, the restaurant at the hotel is terrific! Friendly bell staff! Housekeeping does a great job. We look forward to returning.

First time there and only stayed a night, Friday. The hotel is nice and recently remodeled to give it a nice new beach feel.. given it is on the beach. Nice outdoor fire pit area. We walked around the resort, it seems like it would be a good place to stay for a longer period and explore the resort and the island. We were just passing through, but it is a gorgeous ride out to the island. There is a path out front for walking and biking which i would have liked to use but we were only there one night. Even though we just stayed a night, we booked an ocean front suite. Why not! It was Lovely. We ate across the street at an Irish Pub place it was ok, wouldn’t go back. Came back to hotel for dessert in the bar and a drink, our bartender was personable and provided great service. The dessert was very good, a banana thingy. Breakfast was in the restaurant and was standard breakfast which is ok. Our waiter was great. My only peeve was at check and restriction on the status perk, a non perk really….Firstly, The front desk staff seemed more interested in chit chatting with themselves and we were a distraction. Not a good tone to set. As titanium members our big perk was we $15(each)off breakfast(still waiting to get that upgrade perk or if we will ever be offered an upgrade at any Marriot property when we check in) anyhoo…i was thinking it would be nice to enjoy a room service breakfast on our suites balcony and apply these credits. We were then told NO…you have to come down to the restaurant for the credit. Come on!!! So annoying!! . Let a perk or gift be just that. Again annoying! Other than that… Definitely, worth staying there but pricey. 4 stars.

Amanda at Willets- Westin Jekyll Island was fantastic! She was courteous, fast, and was quick to fix any issues. I had to send my steak back and they immediately fixed the issue by bringing another plate out that was delicious. The manager even came to check on us during our meal. 10/10!

Traveled here with teens and no complaints! Hotel is in a great location - easy access to everything on the island. Extended family members stayed at another Marriott property and it was a quick walk down the beach to visit them. Westin is located near shopping and restaurants. In-house restaurant is very good (ate dinner and breakfast here). Easy drive to St Simmons island throughout week too. Beach chairs and beach service provided daily throughout our stay. Chairs seemed to be up by around 8:30am and down by around 7pm. Alex at the beach very helpful and accommodating to my younger son who wanted to play on the beach very early. Bikes easy to borrow from front bellhop. All covered via your resort charge so no extra costs. Overall loved our stay!

Very over priced ! They took 200 dollars off card for incidental's that you don’t get back for 10 business days .I only spent 40 dollars . That was for 3 bottle 12 oz beers and a 12 oz fountain coke . I never knew of these fees prior. The room had no air conditioning for 3 days . The large dog next door barked for 3 days . Husband tried to sit on patio and the dog actually tried to attack and jump over to him so he had to come in . Animal urine in elevator was the icing on the cake . I now know its animal friendly but Westin has went down from previous stay there . Doors slam near you and your whole bed shakes 24/7. Will not be back to the Westin on our next trip.
