Residence Inn by Marriott Tampa Wesley Chapel

This newer property is fantastic! Immaculate, spacious, rooms well-insulated agst noise. Very good breakfast seating area & nice rooftop bar too. Finally, front desk people like Jonathan very courteous & attentive. Best chain hotel stay in a while.

As a titanium member, I travel for work 3 weeks a month and stay in various Marriott properties. That said, I stayed recently at the Residence Inn and was disappointed for 2 reasons. 1. The bathroom in my room had visible hair on the shower floor upon check in. 2. There was an event at the sports plex nearby, and it appeared that people decided to use the parking lot of the hotel. When I returned back from my meeting, I drove around for a good while to wait to find a parking space. Better options around, folks.

The rooms & facilities were very clean. The staff was friendly. The breakfast that was included was pretty good. Nice selection from eggs, bacon, toast, bagels, do it yourself waffles coffee & milk etc. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The pool was clean & the water temperature was comfortable although it was right next to the parking lot. The rooftop bar, which was part of the reason we chose this place was nice but had limited hours & was closed 2 of the 4 nights we stayed (Sunday & Monday). The most disruptive part of vacation was a cheerleading team in for a competition. There were probably between 40-50 middle school to high school age girls showing up to breakfast all at the same time. We needed to plan around this crowd of kids (who over all weren’t bad) because when they showed up for breakfast it was like a line in a school cafeteria. The kitchen staff could barely keep up with restocking the food. But they sure did try. I’m surprised that the hotel didn’t make some kind of accommodation for such a large group. The hotel is also next to gymnasium that had a big tournament. There were some kids from the tournament in for the breakfast but mostly with their families. Luckily there were a lot of nice restaurants and bars within a couple of miles. So I’d recommend this place but I’d check ahead of time just in case they are hosting a convention style crowd while you are there.

The Residence Inn Tampa Wesley Chapel stands out as the premier hotel in the region, surpassing all others in terms of quality. When compared to the nearby Saddlebrook, both the rooms and customer service at the Residence Inn outshine the competition on a daily basis. Unlike the outdated and desperately in need of renovation rooms at Saddlebrook resort, the Residence Inn offers a refreshing and impeccably clean environment with a stunning design. One of my personal favorites was the inclusion of a luxurious rainfall shower in the bathroom. However, what truly sets the Residence Inn apart is the exceptional service provided by its staff. While I regrettably didn't note down the names of every employee I encountered during my stay, I must mention a few who contributed significantly to making my experience phenomenal: Jose, Keidsly, Wanda, and Ashelyn. It is evident that this establishment is well-managed, as the staff members appear genuinely happy and welcoming. If you choose to stay elsewhere in the area, prepare to be disappointed. The Residence Inn Wesley Chapel surpasses all others by leaps and bounds, making it the ultimate choice for an unforgettable stay.

Very nice property, the front desk staff was quite friendly. The elevators are a long way from some of the rooms. Avoid the very high and very low room #s on each floor, if that's a problem for you. The rooftop sports var that they advertise heavily wasn't open. I'm not sure I understand that concept. Who plays on those ball fields anyhow. Just down the road I went to a place called Burger Monger one night (desk clerk recommended it). Absolutely awful. Lots and lots of other restaurants though down the road 3/4 of a mile at the Publix shopping center.
