Residence Inn by Marriott Tampa at USF Medical Center

dark hallways, supportive staff members, okay suites that need a revamp, no alligators nearby, and comfortable rooms. Front desk staff super chill. Didnt care to be recognized as a platinum elite since the hotel is one of a few area hotels moffitt uses to house their patients.

We visited this hotel to be close to the Moffitt Cancer Clinic in Tampa. Upon checkin we were met by Sierra an amazing Front desk clerk that could not do enough for us to make our stay comfortable. The 2 room suite suited us perfectly each bedroom had its own bathroom. While this hotel maybe slightly dated the staff and amenities make up for it. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone not as luxurious but certainly a luxury in today’s standards of service.

My sister and I arrived in February to be near Moffitt Cancer Hospital. We stayed all the way through her treatments and recovery in late May. The staff at Residence was amazing and became like family to us both. Lovely place with the best supportive folks you can find!

My wife and I were needing to stay for a long term in Tampa and we stayed here, Once we arrived we made it home for a while. We stayed here in February and I gave a 3 star review for the time we stayed, (please see below). This stay was better. I asked for a room that was quite, and I can say we only had a couple of times that it wasn't. Internet (wi-fi) was just enough, there was no need to buy the higher speed version. The morning breakfast was good for the times we used it. Starbucks is in the parking lot (almost) so we did a little of both. One of the nicest features is the County Park across the street. Lettuce Lake Park. For $2.00 fee, you have walking trails and picnic lunches to break the monotony. We also walked around the block, it is a .6 mile journey. I have to Mention the staff is really great, Devon MGR, Sierra, Katrina, Dion, and John in Maintenance to name a few. The workout room is small but gets the job done. We grilled out a couple of times and it was a great grill. The cleaning staff were not bothersome, but were there when we needed, and we let them know when we would be out of the room for a while and they accommodated us. Hoping you don't have to stay as long as we did, but it wasn't terrible!! Old Review: February 2023 The stay that we had in Room 204 wasn't terrible. The building was a little run down, and the walls are super thin. We did not use any of the hotels facilities or even have their breakfast. so I can not comment on that. The kitchen and bathroom was nice in the room, but I could not get over the "oldness" that I felt throughout. The lighting is terrible and yellow everywhere. I will try someplace else next time. I stay here because it is close to USF where my daughter attends college. The rates were similar to the Renaissance and Airport Marriott for me on this particular day. Usually all the desk agents are very courteous and accommodating. I was surprised at the unprofessionalism of Leila, she was sitting down on a chair during check in , did not greet or welcome me, and got rude when I inquired about a simple upgrade to a one bedroom. Her behavior was not typical of a Marriott employee and should be addressed by management. The night auditor Rosann and the evening shift associate Katrina were extremely polite
