Courtyard by Marriott Tampa Northwest Veterans Expressway

Comfortable accommodations in a quiet location, even for the close proximity of the highway. It is clean, well maintained and friendly staff for check in and check out. Just what was needed for a quick one night stay before heading off on a cruise in the morning.

High priced hotel without the quality or features. Filthy throughout. Rooms have miniature fridge that is too small to hold a take out box. I guess that makes sense because there is no microwave to reheat them. Showers have no door so water goes everywhere. Exposed wiring in the room under tv and over fridge. Public areas are filthy. Floors look like they have never been cleaned. Room is filthy - hair and dirt in sink. Fungus or mold in shower. Coffee setup covered in dust and lids were used or had coffee spilled on them. The bistro gives you all the inconvenience of ordering and waiting for food at high prices with limited menu options while giving less food quality than the free breakfast bar that others offer. Elevator was broken.

I absolutely love how PROFESSIONAL and KIND the staff is! The GM Brianna Thompson is great she was very compassionate and quick to response before, during, and after the hurricane. I watched her check on her staff and make sure they were ok! I didn’t see her sit down she was making sure everything was ok with everyone! 10/10 The staff was wonderful Alex, Sheea, Galyha was amazing GOD bless them I couldn’t have asked for a better staff!!!

The hotel is has some nice modern features, e.g. recessed lighting in the hallways and the guest rooms, and the hotel is not as dated as most of the hotels near the university. I also like the convenient location with respect to the restaurants down the street...Olive Garden, Long Horn. The surroundings are rustic and the location seems kind of safe. The clientele seemed nice. The front staff is variable in its quality. Even though this hotel is kind of far where I do business from in Tampa, the positive aspects of the hotel, and the newer design of the rooms and modern bathrooms make it worthwhile, and I expect to stay here again.

This is my second visit to this property, once in 2023 and again 2024 almost exactly one year apart. It has only gotten better! Today, there's a happy hour at the bar in the lobby! Rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable. Staff is friendly, professional and accommodating as well. If you have an EV, charging stations available near the front door. To make my day (ok, my morning), they even have a "mini" Starbucks in the lobby! Couldn't ask for more from a hotel...well ya could, but this one checks all the boxes.
