Americas Best Value Inn Sarasota Downtown

Very bad hotel. It was 1:30 am in the morning . After 4 hours flying, we was very tired and need rest. So we stop at this hotel. $90 for the night and that was the worst experience in my life. The access to the room smells very bad , and the rooms are lamentable. As we go in a big cork roch was on the wall . The sheets on the bed was dirty……. Anyway I can’t sleep all the rest of my night. It’s the first time I wrote a bad review, but I’m so sorry, for that price a minimum must be offered to the customers. I definitely don’t recommend it…..

This hotel is very conveniently located. It is close to downtown and right across from Publix. They do provide breakfast consistng of cereal and milk, oatmeal, waffles, juice, coffee and tea. The rooms could do with some updating. But, the room was clean as was the bathroom. There was a musty odor in the room. The staff was friendly. Overall, a good value.

The location is great, but ... ...wifi is so weak that you're often cut off ...sink not properly plumbed so sewer gas smell from drain is disgusting ...no air extraction in room and AC thermostat didnt work ...worst was rank tobacco smell in this non smoking room Simply to be avoided unless you're desperate!p

While th rooms were clean, they are sparse and have a moldy odor. The bathroom is fine but there is no shelf for shampoo and soap in the shower. The grounds also need maintenance and the Tike bar is rundown.

Overall, the staff was professional and pleasant and the room was clean. The room was very spacious and it had a small lanai, which was quite nice. I have previous Housekeeping Management experience and noticed a few things that may need to be updated or cleaned. The tub drain, was very obviously worn and had buildup on it from minerals/water. The shower head had some mineral buildup. There were some small dings and wear on the furniture. The toilet paper roll was half used, which with minimal PLY barely got us through our 2 night stay. We had to ask a housekeeper for more toilet paper. The tissue box had not been changed out. An empty one was in front, so I brought the full one forward and threw the empty one away.
