Looe Key Reef Resort

Do not book with this resort. I booked them a year in advance with "free cancellation policy" and had to pay in advance for my booking - almost 300$ CDN. Seven months before the night I have booked, I need to move to a different key due to our fishing guide not returning messages and they refuse to refund my pre paid nights stay. Obviously, they will be able to book my night in August 2025 - they are capitalizing on my money pre paid and saying they cant refund me. Pick a different place!

We didn't stay at the hotel but we did a snorkel tour with the dive store there and it was great! Two different locations with an hour at each. Lots of fish to see. It is clear the focus is more on the divers but the crew were great with us snorkelers too. AND the price was awesome! I would recommend this to anyone one wanting to snorkel int he Keys.

The entire staff is outstanding!!!! From reserving the rooms, the cleanliness of the resort, the dive shop staff: all were so much more than we could ask for. Lauren and Pam at the desk walking us through getting every accommodation squared away to KT and Billie and James on the boat and providing dive certification to part of our party were outstanding. Diving was awesome and the after diving activities were amazing. We will definitely be coming back several more times.

This place is a total dump. Honestly go somewhere else. I will say the staff was very nice, I just feel bad they are so cool and have to represent an actually facility that is this run down. The toilet paper holder was blown off the wall, there is an odd old musty smell in the room. The bed is not comfortable at all. One bonus was there is an excellent snorkling tour that leaves from the resort with great staff and captain. The bar and restaurant was a towny scene which was alright. Over all I would so go else where. I actually felt bad for the receptionist that said come back and see us again. I feel like she knows no one comes back. It’s that bad.
