The Capri Inn

We had a very pleasant stay here last week; friendly staff, excellent room, and a light breakfast included, as well as free parking. Small but adequate pool. There was some (inevitable) road noise during the day, but all quiet at night, when it matters.

Perfect location, and free shuttle to/from beach. Bad mattress/ultra soft, and very limited & mostly unhealthy breakfast choices. Minimum stay required is three nights. However, one or two nights would have been sufficient to visit Naples Shopping/Restaurant area and the beach.

there were Pro's and cons. We've stayed at many opal properties and picked this knowing the brand and loving them. Def a disappointment going in and expecting the typical Opal experience. Pros: Location - very close to town can walk everywhere they offer transportation in their gem cars to town so you don't have to find parking. parking is only on the harder side durning peak season. Nov-April. even then, there are plenty of places on side roads, parking garages and valet. Onsite self parking breakfast daily (although zero for those with food allergies) beds were comfortable Cons: hotel is older and outdated, the only thing updated is the some parts of the hotel room and the lobby, outside of that it's an old motel they took over. carpets and elevator were old, elevator smelled like burning oil and was very hot. AC in first room didn't work at all - they moved us and helped us move everything we heard many people talking in the several days we were there complaining their AC didn't work or work well, so we were not the only ones tiny pool. Like not even worth using because it was that small front desk staff was hit or miss. sometimes the staff didn't even know what day it was, other staff was helpful. Microwave, fridge and coffee maker in room. REALLY nice to have these! NO AC vent at all in the bathroom so it gets HOT after 3 people take showers and it's the ONLY mirror so to get ready you have to sweat. The bathroom door smashes into the toilet, so make sure you lock the door, if you have kids that bust in, they will break your legs if you're on the toilet they don't clean the rooms everyday and we constantly had to ask for new towels because they don't ever dry out in the bathroom with it having no AC. we had to go to the front desk and get them ourselves I will say, the BEST part of this hotel what their maintenance worker. I can't remember his name but he fixes the AC, drives the gem car and does like everything around that place. he went above and beyond for us, he moved our luggage, brought us new towels other days, really good guy and they are lucky to have him! Overall, with so many places in town to stay, this one is $$$ for a very old, outdated hotel without any amenities and for the money (or less) you can stay somewhere better.

We have stayed here a few times back when it was theTrianon. It was good then but the Opal Group have taken it to a higher level. Spotlessly clean. Well decorated. Shuttle service. Grab and go breakfast. Lovely comfy lounger by the pool, in addition to usual loungers. Bathroom towels are excellent quality. Staff extremely pleasant. Cannot fault it in any way. The location is perfect. Highly recommended.
