Hyatt Place Fort Myers at The Forum

Yep, we checked in and actually checked out as well. I have always stayed at Hyatts for years but my last two experiences really leaves me in disbelief. To me Hyatts have always been excellent and a step of above most hotels but after this I will not just book a Hyatt without reading the reviews first. Look at the sheets, yep they made the bed and evidently the person was blind that made the bed. How do you not see that? Look at the carpet, look at the baseboard divider. Just disgusting.

We checked in here for a softball tournament. The hotel staff is very nice. We went to our room and soon discovered multiple black hairs in the beds, a dirty washcloth in the shower and toothpaste spit in the mirror. We asked for clean linens and said we would make the bed ourselves and could look past the other things but the staff insisted we move to a new room. New room did not have hairs in the bed but did have mold all over the shower, mold on the sheets and what appeared to be a bullet hole in the window? We are stuck with this room for tonight as most hotels are sold out for this tournament but we will be looking to stay elsewhere in the future. See photos

Standard Hyatt Place, with nice and helpful staff. Breakfast was above average. Gym was small but pretty well equipped (bring your Peloton shoes!). Pool looks nice. Rooms are a bit dated and getting worn, but otherwise comfortable. Location is convenient, right next to I-75, though you get some highway noise and you have to drive to get to restaurants or stores.

Hotel needs updating. Carpets old, bedding threadbare and bathroom old. It appeared there was no sound proofing. I could hear flushing of the toliet and shower running from the room above me and hear conversations clearly from the rooms next to me.

The staff at this hotel are very congenial, but the amenities leave a lot to be desired. The water pressure in the hotel is terrible, the water never got hot, the bed and pillows were uncomfortable, and the hotel is rundown and not particularly clean.
