Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Clermont

Made reservations just prior to Hurricane. They could not have been more adaptable in their policies. Despite it being a nonrefundable room they let us out of our contract one day early of our 4 day stay when our electric was restored. They were allowing free pet stays, as well! They even gave some discounts to hurricane displaced parties. Breakfast had a variety. Internet was challenging with a Mac but they gave me tech support. Concerns were a very heavy door into our room and no safety bar next to low (for me) toilet. Room had no pet odors. (The 3 star hotel rating is correct.)

We were passing through central FL on our way further south and needed a place to sleep for the night. This place is great. Clermont itself is a nice town and the area around the hotel felt safe. The hotel itself is immaculately clean and service is friendly. The common areas are all super modern, but the room decor and furnishings have more of a 90’s vibe. Don’t get me wrong, everything in the room was very clean, fresh, and comfortable. It just had a bit older aesthetic vs the public areas. Shower pressure was very good even on the top floor. They use Speakman shower heads which is great. The shower nozzle is mounted nice and high on the wall, so even taller people (like me) won’t have to crouch down to get their hair wet. Bed was comfortable, climate control worked well. Special shout out for having stationary and a pen. Most hotels, even expensive ones, did away with that since covid and never brought it back. Free breakfast was great. Didn’t get to use pool area, but it looked really nice. Even has a hot tub! Parking is free, which is another good reason to stay here vs a hotel closer in to Orlando where it’s common for even limited service hotels to charge for parking. No resort or “destination fee” either. Overall a great place to stay and I strongly recommend it.

The hotel was clean and incredibly maintained. The staff was also fabulous. I have to shout out Patty at the front desk! She was absolutely outstanding and went out of her way to fix a few issues for us. Beyond grateful there are still people out there like her!

The hotel is getting tired and in need of room renovations. Very expensive for what you get - the other area hotels are a much better value. Breakfast is good with 24 hour coffee. Common areas are clean. Location is good. Staff is friendly and responsive.

Marriott Gold Elite member. Reserved three king suites for three nights. The grounds, lobby and rooms were very clean. The continental breakfast area with waffle, cereal and hot food areas kept tidy and always restocked by the friendly staff woman(failed to get her name). We only encountered a few problems with TV remotes having dead batteries and unable to watch local stations due to the following that flashed on the screen when attempted- “our contract with local stations have expired”! So, only a few cable channels were able to be watched. You are able to connect & input your personal Netflix or YouTube account information- which I would never advise ! Lastly, Because their beds are extremely HARD & having total hip replacements, I inquired if a foam bed pillow topper was available for my bed. A housekeeping supervisor advised a housekeeper would be assigned the task. The staff did come thru, but didn’t even remake the bed. She just rolled it in a ball, placed it inside a plastic bag, then put it on the floor inside our room!! Hmmm!!
