Baymont by Wyndham Lake City

Bugs, bugs, bugs This loactions lack of urgency and cusomer service was insane. We had roaches in our room, and a hole in the floor they were crawing in and out of. We saw them crawing on the bedframe, ceiling, and around the door and lock. Here are some shaky pics below, as we assumed we needed proof for the refund and immediate checkout. We requested amother room immediately but were told they were at capacity, so we assured the lady up front we would be checking out after packing. When we returned with the key, she realized she accidently refunded a different room and refused to refund ours. We were told we stayed too long left around midnight after checking in late PM and we will need to go through booking.com. We have called and emailed and are still waiting on a refund from our 2 hour stay on the 4/4/25. Front office was rude and dismissive, overall 0 stars it was a nasty facility for the price per night.

Room was not very clean at all. People were partying outside in the parking lot all night and were the type of people we felt very unsafe leaving the room at any point in the dark, on top of that there were people smoking weed below us that we could 100% smell inside our room and the fact that I had my little one year old daughter with me made it even worse.

Don't be fooled by the outside pictures of this disgusting so-called hotel. This hotel shouldn't even be open. I thought it was a law in Florida that every hotel had to have working phones in their rooms for safety. I had reserved this room ahead of time and the first room had door that looked like it was kicked in missing half of its door frame, no safety lock and no cover over the electronic lock on the inside of the room and this a door that you walked outside to the parking lot from the room. The floor tiles were loose and a tripping hazard. The rate was nonrefundable, so we asked for another room and they had one available that was also a mess it smelled the bathroom was also a mess and this was another room without a phone. I was told by hotel management that no rooms had ohones because they just took over the hotel. If I was Wyndham I wouldn't wany my name marred by this property.

Please remove this motel from your list of recommendations. It is filthy and we would not stay. The bed sheets were dirty and bed lumpy. Roach in bathroom and black tub. Red splatter stains on door. Office chair ragged. Clothes in hall, ragged office chair in hall. Lady in office was nice but very bad appearance.

Ceiling room and bathroom had spider webs and mildew. Lamp night stand was blinking and the bulb went off. No ceiling light and not enough light in the room, so we could not see what we had inside the bags unless we move them to closer to the light. Room heating was not on and we woke up with a cold in the middle of the night. Night stand light cover is dirty. Bathroom tub paint peeled off but the worst was no hot water to take a shower in a morning temperature of 50 F. So, we tried to call from the room phone but it was not in operation. My husband had to go to the reception and the recepcionist came to the room. He banged the shower faucet and also said that we had to turn to the other side because they installed incorrectlater and no microwave to heat water.
