Stayed one night here on the way back home. We chose this hotel due to proximity to the beach. We wanted to savour the warm temperature before heading back to the cold. We booked a 2qn beds room partial ocean view. Perfect for what we needed for a night stay. Walking distance to the beach. As soon as we got up we went to the beach for a walk. The water was too cold for a dip. Hotel offered free parking as well as breakfast. Pet friendly too, if you have a furry friend. We will consider staying here again when the water is bearable for a swim.

We had stayed at another Hilton property south of this hotel. We were very unhappy there. I called the Hilton phone number asking for an ocean front king room that was available for that night. Sort of a tall order. But Hilton came through and we were able to book a king oceanfront room at Home 2 Suites in Ormond Beach. What a vast improvement over the previous hotel. Saad M was at the front desk when we checked in. He was fabulous. Welcomed us warmly, actually made a joke that made me genuinely laugh out loud, and got us checked in quickly. Another sigh of relief when we opened the room door: spacious, beautiful view, and well-maintained. This was far superior to the hotel from the night before (and about the same price). The room had a full-size refrigerator, dishes, a dishwasher, and a sink. Don’t settle for a place that you’re not happy with. Stay here and be happy.

We've stayed at this hotel 4 different times since it opened. We like this brand particularly, with a full kitchen and some larger 1 bedrooms. The oceanfront balconies are terrific, with spectacular sunrises. Daytona Beach, the convention center, the speedway and many restaurants are close. Housekeepers are friendly, whether you need cleaning or just restocking and the hotel is very clean. The pool is cleaned daily and the fire pit at night is a great addition. The lobby and breakfast eating area is comfortable and breakfast staff are pleasant and hard workers. There is a BUT though. 3 out of 4 stays I was not able to stay in the room I chose on my app as a diamond member. I realize stuff happens and there is no guarantee when I choose on the app. Floors were closed off twice, although they opened up, as folks were staying on them. 1 was my fault because it was right across from the elevator and was loud. There aren't very many rooms of some types, so G'Ante was extremely helpful in making us happy. When we went changed room types, there was a price(lower) difference, which management disavowed, even as I showed it on my app. There is a minor parking fee, which will never be waived for any reason. The other issue is when the hotel is at capacity, breakfast is a problem. Families may overtake the 2 waffle makers, which I understand. The breakfast sandwiches, bagels and muffins are in very short supply, even with an hour left. The staff cannot keep up. And if the lengthy time to eat at breakfast, makes you run a bit late for checkout, expect the response to be that you should have come down sooner. That's why they offer breakfast to a certain time, not an hour earlier to get food. Very very strict on some issues but lax on other issues, like when children overtake the hotub. Unsupervised.

The hottub worked and we enjoyed pool to ourselves, everything is very new and clean. But we received no recognition for our 52nd anniversary, being Diamond or Disabled. However they kept my phone charger! Thank you.Friendly staff.Unusual breakfast.

Terrible, inexperienced, rude and irresponsible management! My wife and I were on an extended trip to Daytona Beach and needed accommodations for two nights. We arrived at Home 2 Suites with our Registered Service Animal and were asked by Saad at the front desk for proof that he was a service animal. My wife showed our certificate but Saad was not satisfied and went to his Manager, Pamela to authorize. After waiting several minutes, Pamela refused to accept our certificate and stated she would charge us $75 for our dog to stay. We attempted to respectfully inform Saad as and Pamela that under Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the hotel could not charge extra money for a Service Animal and were limited with regard to what questions they could ask us. Both Saad and Pamela were completely unaware of the law and refused to waive the fee. We were left with no choice but to either pay or leave. We opted to leave and warned Patricia that we would leave reviews warning other travelers with Service Animals about their abysmal lack of professionalism and awareness of the law. Pamela couid have easily researched herself or simply inquired with senior management to learn the truth, but was happier to turn us away, leaving us to search for accommodations, late on a Sunday. What makes this even worse is that we are returning guests. We stayed at this exact property twice before within the past year. Pamela could have simply looked up our portfolio from previous visits to see we are repeat guests and were never charged for our dog. Terrible, unprofessional, uninformed management with no regard for basic hospitality. We will never return.
