The St. Gregory Hotel

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at The St. Gregory Hotel in DC/Dupont Circle. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Dupont Circle, with easy access to everything the city has to offer. My room was stunning—spacious, beautifully designed, and immaculately clean. I want to give a special shoutout to Marcus at the front desk, who went above and beyond with his customer service. From helping with check-in and making sure I had everything I needed; Marcus was professional, friendly, and made my stay even more enjoyable. His warmth and attentiveness truly stood out and made a lasting impression. If you're visiting DC and want a stay that combines luxury, comfort, and excellent service in a prime location, I can't recommend The St. Gregory Hotel enough. I'll definitely be returning!

The service here is the best I’ve ever seen. Let me tell you a story. They have fresh baked cookies every day from 3-4pm. I love cookies. But I was traveling for work, so I was at my office when the fresh cookies were being served the entire week. On my last night I got back from work and happened to make a minor comment about being sad about missing the cookies every day and my man Marcus said “Word? Gimme a second,” and then jumped into action. He spoke with Calvin and some tiny cute chick and by dinner time, they had fresh cookies for me. The rest of the hotel is as nice as every other major hotel (location, bed, rates, etc., shower water pressure could be better but whatever) but the service is next level. Recommending this hotel for all my coworkers whenever they need to come to DC.

Absolutely amazing service, rooms were really clean, modern and well looked after. Hotel is well placed if you don’t mind a 10 minute walk. Staff were so helpful and friendly! Would happily recommend to friends and family! Would stay there again in an heartbeat. Ask for the 3pm cookies… Devine!

I had a great experience staying here for business. From parking my car when I arrived, dinner at the Ellington bar, fast internet to get work done, arrival and departure, the staff was so friendly and welcoming and the accommodations were so comfortable and relaxing.

I stayed at the St. Gregory Hotel for five nights while attending a work event in DC, and this was hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve had in all my years of frequent travel. Every day I returned to find that my room had not been cleaned. The bed was never made, towels were taken away but never replenished, and on one occasion, there were no towels in the room at all - not even a hand towel or washcloth. The only way to request service was to physically go downstairs, as the phone in my room didn’t even work. Despite repeatedly raising these issues with the front desk, nothing was ever resolved. I was told it would be “noted,” but the exact same problems occurred daily - every day until it was time to check out. The room itself was poorly maintained. The fan/heater was extremely noisy, making it difficult to sleep. The room was dimly lit with no option to brighten it, creating an uninviting, gloomy, and un-cozy atmosphere. The shower faucet was faulty and repeatedly fell off, even injuring my foot multiple times. The interior shower handle was broken, and the closet door wasn't functional. Like, what more, right? Geez. While the staff was friendly, they were ultimately completely ineffective. I was told that I would be informed if another room option opened up, but that never happened. It’s clear that service and maintenance standards at this hotel are severely lacking. For the premium price charged, I expected much better. I really regret choosing this hotel over others I had considered in the area. Heed my warning and avoid this property. It was a complete waste of my money.
