Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center

Great experience. Nice place with nice rooms. Very pricey but a beautiful place to stay. I wish they had some cheaper options for food in the place. Great pool area inside and outside. Many places to sit and relax. Nice fire pits on the property. Not a lot of things to do around the area

I’ve stayed at a number of Gaylord properties and this ranks near the top. The hotel itself seems new and is in good shape. General housekeeping looked perfect. The room was immaculate! Clean and in good repair. Definitely not showing much wear. Room has a fridge and coffee maker. It’s very quiet and the bed was comfortable. Fitness center is large with everything you need. 24 hours is a convenient touch. Don’t stop that! Food and drink prices are very high - Las Vegas strip high! They got you here. That’s the one drawback - a $6-12 Uber ride to anything close.

We booked 3 rooms at the Gaylord for this past Saturday night to celebrate both of my boy’s birthdays – they turned 8 and 10. We included another family of 4 in our reservation, as well as 3 other boys – for a total of 7 kids and 4 adults! First and foremost, the property was absolutely stunning. We’ve stayed here a couple times prior, but it’s been years since, and the property is even more beautiful than it was before. There was so much for the kids to do outdoors (basketball, checkers, and obviously the water amenities that were our biggest draw), but what impressed me the most is the ample room for people to sit, eat, and relax all throughout the property. The Gaylord has gone above and beyond to ensure its guests are comfortable and have a nice time. The second thing we appreciated, immensely, was the incredible service from each individual we encountered on staff. The front desk attendant was absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond to accommodate us. The restaurant staff also went the extra mile to deliver our pizzas outdoors. Worth noting, one of our friends couldn’t sleep and ended up exploring the grounds very late into the evening/morning. He was out at the firepits, and the staff was shutting everything down and cleaning. They offered to turn the firepits back on, just for him, which I thought was such a nice personal touch. Clearly the staff works around the clock to ensure the property is immaculate. Lastly, the water features and amenities were the absolute highlight for all 7 boys. I was nervous having kids ranging in age from 7 to 11 around water. But as soon as we arrived and observed the ample lifeguard staffing, we were immediately put at ease. Each of the lifeguards seemingly goes through a routine to scan the areas they are responsible for and clearly took their jobs very seriously. The boys couldn’t get enough of the lazy river, the slides, the hot tubs and the pools. Without question, we will be going back for another staycation. This experience has peaked my interest in exploring other Gaylord properties. Thank you, Gaylord team, for ensuring that our boys had the most spectacular birthday experience!

Very clean well kept property. I had very spotty room cleaning service, usually showed up between 4 and 5 PM when I was getting ready for my next event. The 2nd time they came in as I was getting ready, I sent them away and they never came back. Was it a very very nice place, yes. Was food and drink prices way out of hand.. yes. almost crazy in fact. tap beers over 10 dollars.. very basic salad with chicken 23 dollars... come prepared to spend some money. The facilities for the convention area were fantastic. AV was the best I have seen at the numerous conventions I have been at. The servers and staff around that were 2nd to non. Everything was always perfect and on time by people that seemed to really care.

Amazing facility! Great family fun and swimming area. Food was great! Matt Marshall was amazing!! Lots of food choices, great workout facilities, etc.., Had so much fun. Workers were friendly and accommodating! We will be back for one of their wonderful events.
