Hillstone Inn Tulare Ascend Hotel Collection

I don't normally stay in these types of room but I am gonna say it was nice and felt safe. The rooms are clean and I think recently renovated and I enjoy the scheme of the room. The bed was nice and comfy and got a good sleep. I like what they did with the towels and the barn door that created a private dressing space. This gave someone a chance to shower and another person get dressed while the other people are in the room. It also gave a space where you can work at night without bothering those who are sleeping. There are fast food and restaurant really close by. The area is a bit loud due to the location but did not hear any of the noise outside.

My wife and I stayed here near the end of an 8-day California road trip. This was a clean, comfortable, reasonably priced inn. It was very conveniently located to Hwy 99 and shopping. It was safe and quiet, and we would stay here again and recommend.

Room had everything needed, modern design and was clean. Breakfast good, no water bottles provided in room. Request for room facing the Burger King and higher floors as that gives you peace and stair/faster access to the carpark underneath. Lady manning the breakfast area was kind. There were teens hanging around the pool area that were creating a ruckus.

The room was extremely noisy, we stayed next to the pool where management tolerated people during evening hours, we could smell the marijuana everywhere in the hotel and the isolation from the 2nd floor was so poor that we could hear everything from the room above so it was impossible to sleep. I raised my complaints to reception and I requested a refund of the money but there was no response.

Disgusting!!! There was blood on our sheets and comforter when we checked in!!! They were unable to change the sheets because it was too late and they were unable to change our room. They refused to refund or discount due to the housekeepers noting that they saw that my wife was on her period based on our bathroom trash. My wife never got in the bed. She didn’t have any blood on her and the blood would have been around chest height in the bed. We would never stay here again. If you do stay here, make sure to fully check that the sheets have been changed and not just tucked in from the last people.
