Every surface of this hotel has been touched and renovated! Every room is a suite, with a living area with a couch and a chair, dining room, bathroom, bedroom, huge closet. We have stayed at this hotel twice. Cross the street and you are in Nevada. The Parrothead theme is here! JWB steakhouse has impeccable service and food. Casual restaurant has great pub food. There is a small store with a coffee bar. Some days, they have a breakfast Buffett. Very nice hotel, but the employees lack enthusiasm for Jimmy Buffet and his music, service wasnât great and quite frankly, I felt like was interrupting employees at the front desk when I had a question. Parking is valet only. Valets do their job, in our two stays not one of them offered to help unload or load our Luggage. Thatâs okâŠI used the tip money to buy a drink. Donât get me wrong, I would absolutely come back here. Nobody bothers you, if you are looking for luxury experience, donât stay here. The hotel is very convenient to the Heavenly Gondola and has ski/ snowboard check in service so that you donât need to bring your equipment to the room.

Huge hotel that used to be embassy suites. Stayed here mid-week with a friend to ski Heavenly. Also stayed on a Friday night with my son to chase more powder. While there are definitely some hidden fees like resort charge ($50) and required valet parking ($35), the overall value for a clean hotel room a block away from the Heavenly Gondola was still great. I spent little time at the hotel and more time on the slopes. I didnât eat at the restaurants but did grab coffee and breakfast at the provisions store. Very nice that they have breakfast burritos, sandwiches, pastries, etc so you can fuel up and hit the slopes early. The ski valet was convenient. I paid $75 for late checkout at 4 one of my stays, which is awesome and allowed me to store bags and take a shower after skiing. That wasnât available the other stays because it was sold out. Hot tub and pool are for little kids, not apres ski.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The only bad thing is room service. We ordered dinner at 9:00 pm to be delivered to our room. At 9:30 I called to check and was told they would bring it right up. At 9:45 my husband went down to the restaurant and got the food but it was so cold it was uneatable. They did credit the bill but we went to bed without dinner.

This used to be the Embassy Suites hotel many eons ago, and has been nicely redone as a new Margaritaville. The rooms are suite-style, with a spacious sitting and dining area separate from the bedroom. Rooms have a mini-fridge and a sink, but no kitchen (ie, you can order in and eat in your room, but not cook). While the common areas are quite lively and at times noisy, the rooms were quiet enough. Decor is nice and the vibe is upbeat. The pool and hot tub are very small and busy, with lots of screaming children (on a weekend). There is a coffee shop downstairs with some essentials. We ate at the casual restaurant at the hotel and found the food quite mediocre. It's convenient, though. Location is 2 blocks from the Heavenly gondola. It's a flat, easy 5-min+ walk. They have a room to store skis downstairs. Parking is valet-only, and it can be a bit of a wait to get your car at times. Net, this is a nice addition to the South Lake hotel scene. It's not as conveniently located as the Marriott next door, but it's better value (newer), more readily available, and way nicer than the casinos across the street. I'd go back!

Location is probably the best part of this hotel as you're right on the state line across from the casinos and walking distance to the Heavenly village. Hotel was clean and rooms were spacious with a sitting/dining area separate from the bedroom. The $50+ daily resort fee seems excessive considering it doesn't cover much that you wouldn't get at any other hotel (i.e. wifi, pool, etc.). Plan on another $35/day for valet parking as that's the only option, and make sure you get to the valet desk a good 20+ minutes before you want your car because we got caught in a line that took that long one morning.
