Holiday Inn Express Simi Valley an IHG Hotel

Convenient for a meeting at California Lutheran University. Immediately opposite the freeway exit. Fairly quiet. Some traffic noise on the third floor. Wi-Fi OK. Would like a jug of milk at breakfast instead of single serving containers

Requested a corner room staff would not assign one to me. The bathroom sink would not drain. Terrible selection of TV channels no TCM, no Fox business. Room was clean overall and staff was generally good. Very good breakfast. Tesla charging a plus.

Excessively loud street noise if you are unlucky and get put in one of those units facing the street. I specifically asked for an inner room to avoid the traffic noise but they put me on the street anyway. Be prepared to stay up until 2:00 a.m. or later listening to the road. Good breakfast though

Smoky rooms and no hot water in the next two rooms I tried. Finally after a half hour, found a room that would work. Clerk said she would help me on the bill but nothing happened. Chose because the Reagan Presidental Library had it on there recommended list. I think they should rethink their recommendation.

Great staff - super clean rooms. Front desk staff, breakfast staff and housekeeping super nice and professional. There is construction work going on around the pool area - didn’t bother or disturb me but just fyi. Also the hotel looks different from a typical HI Exp but once u get past that h will be pleasantly surprised
