Econo Lodge Bay Breeze

Booked this room on Booking.com the reviews were just ok. BIG MISTAKE!!! We got there and checked in at 4:30 and went up to the room and opened the door and right off the room smelled dirty. We started looking around and it was filthy. The red bedspread was so soiled with black stains, cigarette burns and dirty smell also some other stain/splatter running down the side of the bed. It looked like semen DISGUSTING The bathroom has urine all down the wall by the toilet. The tub/shower was not clean. This room was so gross we went to the front desk. We do not want to stay, and we want a refund. He said you have to go through Booking .com. That also is a huge mistake booking rooms though Booking .com you photos are old of the property the reviews are not ture. This place is so run down and dirty it's a motel for partiers and street walkers.

Very clean comfortable motel at a reasonable price. Yes it needs some renovation but I was comfortable. The front desk agent Jose was knowledgeable and friendly accommodating our request for a quieter room and extra pillow. He suggested a great breakfast place (Grandmas Country Kitchen) that did not disappoint!

Wanted a stop close to Moss Landing and Monterey, Breakfast booked but little choice offered, Room was adequate, everything worked and clean. Ideal base for excellent Whale watching from Moss Landing.

This hotel is located in Seaside city. It's around 5 km from Monterey city center. There is a lot of restaurant and supermarket nearby hotel area. Beach is near the hotel in 10 minutes walk. Parking space is sufficient for number of guest room. Room is large, clean and comfortable. There are microwave, TV, fridge and coffee maker in the room. Toilet is equipped with bathtub and shower. It's noisy in ground floor room because of the upper room walking or doing something in their room. Air condition is heating only. Wifi is quite reliable. Breakfast is served in lobby area. Due to Covid Pandemic, guests have to bring food in the room. Number of choices are acceptable. Recommend this hotel for all type of customer.

Good enough for sleeping. Somewhat comfortable. Somewhat quiet. Exceptional hotel staff and front desk people quite nice. The room was a little bit lacking in details. No tissue next to bed. No cups for the bathroom had to use the only coffee cup from main room. Older remodel so details such as chipped paint or poor caulking were evident. Floor is a little bit uneven so walk carefully. Bath light fixtures had been changed but old holes not patched properly. Windows old and heavy and were quite a challenge to open and close. Hall way rugs stained. In room some hair on floor between bed and night stand. Pillows are so soft as to be uncomfortable. No blanket other than some too thin old worn thing. Nice to see something better. For a budget hotel its ok. Breakfast buffet is minimal and lacking basics. Packaged breakfast burritos and some muffins and hard boiled eggs. Coffee machine coffee was just awful. We went to Starbucks two blocks to the west. Again front desk staff was just amazing and welcoming and very professional.
