Very very poor experience Letâs start at the positive :- nice room that looked modern Negatives :- very unsafe area . Security had to walk us from the car outside to the check in as groups were in the area looking at bags 90 percent people who were around were homeless on drugs going about the bathroom right in front of the front door Very unsafe we left 1 day in to our 5 day bookings The lady on reception is unhelpful Valet team I saw ragging the car around the block when it was supposed to be parked up When I challanged him he just left and said âheres the keys bro â

The Timbri San Francisco is a sleek, modern hotel with a really cool vibe. Our room was stylish, clean, and comfortableâeverything inside the hotel felt well-maintained and thoughtfully designed. Overall, the stay itself was great. But the surrounding area? Not so much. The neighborhood is filled with visible homelessness, which made arriving and walking around feel a bit tense. As soon as I stepped out of our Uber, I heard someone on the sidewalk say, âWhat he got in that bag?â Not exactly the warmest welcome. While I understand San Francisco is facing some serious housing and public safety issues, it is something travelers should be aware of before booking. One odd hiccup: I requested a set of king sheets late one night, and the front desk told me they had no access to the housekeeping closet. So⊠that is it? No backup plan? That part was frustratingâit makes you wonder what happens if a guest has any issue after hours. That said, if you are just planning to stay in, relax, and enjoy a cool hotel interior, you will likely have a good experience. Just do not expect the surrounding streets to match the luxury inside.

Rooms are nice and update. Bathroom decent size with good water pressure in shower. Location is good if you want to be in the Union Square area. As others have mentioned loop area around hotel is not the best but that doesnât bother me. Homelessness is an issue all over San Francisco. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was good though menu was somewhat limited. Cleanliness of the room was not the best as I found a previous guestsâ small bottle of eye contact solution and other trash under the mini bar. My biggest gripe is with the daily hotel amenity fee of over $50. I know lots of hotels are doing this now but that doesnât make it right. Hotels finding new ways to steal money from customers needs to stop. You get nothing for these fees but are forced to pay them anyway. Not cool.

Excellent experience. Nel welcomed me warmly. He was knowledgeable and hospitality centered. The soaking tub and great shower were especially delightful. The toiletries offer great aromatherapy to. Finally, the design is human centered and esthetically attractive. I stayed in a low floor corner room. The rooftop restaurant is a gem. Juan provided exceptional service as he pointed out landmarks. I will definitely stay here again. Seattle visitor!

This hotel was selected by my employer apart of a room block for a weekend of events we were working around the Bay area. Let me start by saying the front desk staff was kind, but that's about it for this hotel. Firstly, it is in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco which is notorious for it's drug problem, and was quite the issue any time post 6PM, be prepared for heroine use around the building, drug deals happening on the corner and random human feces droppings. Of course the hotel cannot do much about the surroundings, however I had quite a few issues with my room. The HVAC system didn't seem to work, which left the room stuck at 66 degrees, was given the offer of switching rooms or a space heater, after waiting 3 days for an engineer to come inspect. I opted for the space heater because as I stated it was a work trip and I was constantly on the move and only needed it at night. Then the 3rd day, the power went off, it was turn back on and then the 5th day, the power went off again; both times the space heater wasn't plugged into the wall; just random shortage; only my phone and laptop. Also, the cafe area at the front food was a bit bland, however the food at the rooftop resturant was incredibly salty and very limited, especially for people with allergies, almost none of the team leveraged it for meals. I will say the Dark Bar food/options were better. Lastly, I mistkenly left medication in my minifridge that I needed dor my extended stay as I transitioned to another hotel. Called them (2.5) hours after checking out on a Sunday to let them know and was later told it was recovered but they needed to connect with housekeeping about it's location. Was given a lot of back and forth through Tuesday, where I was told they threw it out instead of putting it in lost and found. The hotel staff knew I was returning later Sunday regardingless as I'd left my bags and valeted the car, and I received confirmation, as well as a coworker received confirmation that the medication was there but then 2 days later it was tossed and no one knows why or where. They can never get ahold of housekeeping, they didn't know who flipped that room on Sunday to confirm/deny whether it was actually thrown away or put aside. It was medication with my name, and red/yellow labels that were clearly marked, so very surprised they would throw someone's personal items away, let alone something like that. Very disappointing way to end an already subpar experience. Good distance to a lot of things but would definitely recommend on of the boutique hotels closer to Union Sqaure for safety, food options, and walkability.
