Courtyard by Marriott Newark Silicon Valley

BEWARE staying here. Property looks good, rooms nice, but beware that you could have your auto windows smashed if you park in their parking lot...and their answer will be "break-ins are on the rise"(from the manager). They do not care about their guests.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The hotel lobby area has been updated and is inviting. The room we had is older and needed remodeling. The air conditioning in the first room we were assigned was not working and, in fact, the unit was duct taped together. We requested another room which we were quickly given. The bathroom fixtures are old and the area around the sink is small - almost too small for a bag of toiletries. However, the room and bathroom were clean. Cleaning and towels were provided every other day.

Friendly staff, clean but basic facility. Good location with plenty of food options in walkable distance. Unfortunately guest room was very poorly maintained: bathroom shower curtain rod pulled out of wall, fixed with caulk; curtain shredded; poorly patched (more caulk?) gouge in dresser top; HVAC unit unable to maintain a temperature, vacillates between too hot or too cold, no matter if you use heating or cooling. Coffee maker finicky, ended up buying coffee. No hair dryer. Shared microwave in lobby predictably grubby, mini mart very small selection.

Clean, quite and great staff the rooms a little outdated but I will take when you have a clean and quite hotel. Marriott always my first choice nothing compares to customer services . Location is not far from interstate and beds are soft and walls not so thin

The most unfriendly front checkin staff, parking challenges, dirty swimming pool, and engineering staff cannot address the issues. Poor English and housekeeping arminda is most forgettable staff member
