The worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. Walked in and the guy at the counter was eating. Wouldn’t even look at me. I gave him my name. “That’s $100 for an early check in.” “Uhh, what? I’ll just wait. Can I get a quiet room when I do check in?” “It’s Coachella , there are no quiet rooms.” I walk out. He then heads out to the parking lot for a smoke. Awesome. Call to cancel and a guy names David, probably the same guy, was even more rude. What a dump.

I rarely write reviews, but will take the time. I believe it a social responsibility to make each other aware. Stayed during Coachella, was part of a big group and honestly I would not pick this hotel if it were me. Rooms are dark, old, outdated, dirty, no shower gel, had to use hand soap. Was extremely expensive for what you get, totally not worth it when you can stay at all the beautiful hotels around. Woke with a commotion around 5 am, front desk personnel did not show up. Called again, I heard “you called 5 mins ago, why are you calling again? “ He hang up. During check out, 3 different numbers in my card in my bill and what I had to pay. When asked for clarification, the answer “you must have been very excited when you checked in, don’t you read fine print?” I am 50+, travelled all around the world. There is a first in everything it seams. My suggestion would be to avoid at any cost! SABENA-Such a bad experience never again…

A classic property with great history... but needs new ownership and management. A renovation is overdue! The rooms are large but not comfortable. Very old A/C units make lots of noise and can't keep up with cooling on hot days. Large TV's but good luck finding your favorite channel. No soft or feather pillows- only very hard foam. And staff isn't too professional. Quite evident nobody is in charge - just going through the daily motions to keep the ship afloat!

Positives: - Hotel is in a great location near Indian Wells Tennis garden - great for proximity to BNP Paribas Open. About a ~35m walk. - daytime front desk staff was super welcoming, nice - Reasonably priced relative to other hotels in the area - shuttle every 30m to the BNP paribas open from hotel - reasonably priced buffet breakfast at $15.99 - very pretty, warm and clean swimming pool with great view of golf course and palm trees - live entertainment in cocktail bar in the evenings Opptys for improvement - a few small things would really improve the experience - wifi was difficult to get on, was not able to use hotel wifi during the whole stay - no sanitizer (for cleaning equipment!) or towels in the fitness room - shower wall mounted dispenser drizzles shampoo/conditioner combo. wolud love to see them upgrade to a higher quality, separate shampoo and conditioner? - hotel shuttle does NOT pick up from the tennis garden at the same place as the bigger hotel shuttles. But this not stated on the shuttle info sign at the front desk. We called the front desk when we didn't see the Resort Hotel sign where the other shuttles were - and were told the shuttle picks up "where the other shuttles do". Waited longer, then called a few more times - finally figured out pick up is at "gate 10" which is a different place, where the ubers pick up. Walked there, waited, could not find the shuttle, and gave up. Front desk at the hotel was not helpful at all unfortunately. might stay again due to proximity - if so, would love to see some of these small improvements for this lovely hotel.
