Embassy Suites Los Angeles Glendale

As of this writing, the hotel is under construction on the lower floors (not the lobby or conference center which look nice). Floors 6 and above are completed and we requested a remodeled room on a higher floor. I suggest the same for anyone reading this anytime soon. The beds were comfortable enough but not anything to write home about, and the suite is large. Apparently there are few rooms with windows that face outside - but most windows overlook the atrium. This makes the rooms very and I do mean very dark. I believe the rooms with king beds may face outdoors but no two-bed rooms do (this is what the front desk indicated). The darkness is good for sleeping, however. The pool is being renovated as well so it is not open as of this writing. We experienced only minimal noise from any of the renovations. The hotel itself is very near Universal Studios and only blocks from The Americana mall, all by car. It seemed like most guests were either business travelers or families going to Universal. The parking is self-parking and there is a daily fee $27 for their underground garage. There is also a fee $15 for in-room WiFi daily. The room amenities are fine enough but nothing even vaguely upscale if you’re used to Hilton standards. I have to say this place falls short of that, even in the remodeled rooms (we had 2 rooms). They are clean, though, and the housekeeping staff is really great. The free breakfast is very good. There is an omelet station with a cook who will also make other items. There is a hot bar, as well as a vast variety of other breakfast items. It’s very nice, clean, and the staff there are outstanding! This was the best thing about the place - the breakfast and its staff… (Can’t really say the same for front desk staff, unfortunately. They seem a little disgruntled and curt). There’s also an evening reception with a free cocktail/soft drink and little snacks like chips and salsa which we only went to one time but it’s a nice touch. So, if you’re not looking for the room itself to be anything more than mid-level and aren’t looking for an outdoorsy, California vibe and are just using this as a base for trips in the area, it’s fine. If you like breakfast, you will really appreciate this one. 3 stars overall.

The conditions of the hotel were far below acceptable standards, and I feel compelled to bring these issues to your attention.From the moment we arrived, we were met with an overwhelming smell of mold in the hallway, along with visible water leaks. The carpet was stained and tattered, making the entire space feel unkempt and poorly maintained. Upon entering our room, we were further disheartened to find that the bedding looked uninviting and stained, and even the lamp shades had visible stains—an unacceptable level of cleanliness for any hotel. Adding to the discomfort, the shower head in our room was leaking, resulting in poor water pressure and making it difficult to shower properly. To make matters worse, an unexpected fire alarm went off, causing unnecessary disruption. Despite these multiple inconveniences, there was no effort made to provide any form of compensation or accommodation to make up for the poor experience.I believe that a picture is worth a thousand words, and the state of your hotel spoke volumes. It is evident that basic upkeep and cleanliness are being neglected, which significantly impacted our stay. I expect a prompt response regarding how you plan to address these issues, as well as an appropriate resolution for the inconvenience we endured.

My suite was HUGE! I really liked my stay here. Weekend hot breakfast starts @ 7:00am to 10:30am. Parking is underground of hotel building. This is a BEAUTIFUL property. The Front Desk is very kind & helpful! Located in downtown Glendale & freeway close to everything!

We have stayed here before, and it was always nice but a remodel of the rooms was needed. These new rooms are fantastic. During our stay, Alex really helped geting us into our room earlier so we could drop our items off and go to the park. The evening reception is great, and the breakfast is always amazing. We especially love that this property is pet friendly. We will always plan to stay here when going to Universal.

I stayed at the site on a recent work trip for several days. All of the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. It had the typical Embassy Suites breakfast buffet with a cook to order station if desired. The evening reception was well staffed and enjoyable. The room was very clean and comfortable. The parking garage was very full and very tight and the markings were a bit confusing as it appears it was designed for valet “stacking” of vehicles, so quite a bit of wasted space. I was able to locate a parking a pot each night. I will definitely stay here again.
