Physical property was clean, comfortable, and good location, with a good breakfast restaurant next door. Good amenities - microwave, soap dispensers, air conditioning. Counter staff was unhelpful and abrupt when I raised an issue after checkout.

We were travelling on Highway 1 from San Francisco to Oregon and made stop for one night here. We missed the sign and drove quite far when we realized we are nearly out of the town so we had to return. My husband pick the key at the reception. Our room was clean, bed was OK, we slept good. In the room was TV, fridge and coffee machine which we used. Also small table with chairs to put clothes on. What we didn't like, and we found it everywhere, was an envelope to "leave gratitude to express appreciations for effort to housekeeper". I am sorry but that's her job to do it properly for which she is paid by the employer.

Front desk staff was friendly and helpful! Bed was comfortable! Room was clean! Perfect for a one night birthday get away with my daughter! The room included 1 queen bed, fridge, microwave, coffee pot, small table and 2 chairs, desk and lots of storage! I saw a lot of reviews saying room too small, but we were only sleeping there, so not sure how much room you really need? The price was very reasonable! I would definitely recommend and stay there again!

My stay at this hotel exceeded expectations. Which, to be fair, were not anything extraordinary but for a budget type lodging, I had nothing but a good time. The staff was extremely helpful and I slept well. The room: I stayed in a single queen room. Walking around was fine because I was by myself, but it might be a tiny bit bumbling for two people. My room was clean and all amenities were in working order. (Includes air conditioning, heater, microwave, hair dryer, coffee maker, and television). I appreciated that the TV came with instructions for the remote and a list of channels printed out. I really appreciated that the floor was hard and not carpeted. The room also came with a table and two chairs as well as a desk with an additional chair. This made for a lot of surfaces to place things on and to prepare my lunches for the day. The bed was comfortable. It was standard hotel type: two hardnesses of pillow and a moderately forgiving mattress. The sheets were on the thin side but the weather was warm while I was there; I wouldn't want them heavy anyways. The sheets were also pretty thin but they do the job. There was of course some general wear and tear. Some chips on the bathtub, pain scratched off, a few minor stains on the floor. This being said, the linens were all clean and nothing ever felt dirty. You expect some minor wear in any room that sees so many guests. For being a pet friendly hotel I was a little worried but there was no pet hair or scratches in the room! Nor any odor. Breakfast: I try to only stay at places that offer breakfast. I was hoping for some toast or cereal here but alas the offerings were all packaged sweets (donettes, pop tarts, cinnamon rolls) and granola bars (nature valley, cereal bars, belvita bars). This isn't a huge criticism; there was definitely enough to go around, a large selection, and I found things to eat. I just want to include it with my review because if you also select hotels based on breakfast maybe you would want to know. The Location: Many of the rooms, especially on the upper level, come with an ocean view. For me it was not quite walkable to get to any close vantage point (you would have to cross the major street as well) but it was nice to be able to watch the sunset from the hotel balcony. I was there for work so I was trying to go to bed early and wake up very early. Only one of the nights did I end up with neighbors who were noisy but I can't really blame them, I'm sure they were in town for vacation. The soundproofing is just ok; I am a light sleeper and I didn't think to bring any white noise, but you may want to if you are also trying to go down before 10 pm. The rooms also do shake when someone lumbers by (not everyone, just the heavy stompers). The hotel is bordered on both sides by gas stations, which is convenient both for travel and for quick snacks. There is a vending machine at the hotel but sometimes you want something specific, I get it. Also, the Mountain Mike's in the parking lot was enticing. I did not get pizza during my stay but I saw lots of boxes in the hotel trash. It's nice to be able to get food without having to get into the car and drive somewhere. Or, at least, to have the option. Overall, it worked for how much time I actually spent in it, and I felt relaxed in the room. There were no real safety issues and I felt that the staff was equipped to deal with anything should it come up. For the price, it is decent value. I would stay here again.

Decent place given the proximity to the bluff and beach areas - more cost effective than some of the neighboring properties. Got some good recommendations at the front desk for places worth visiting in a day trip while we were there. The free breakfast options were good but could consider adding atleast one fruit to the free breakfast menu. Front desk was courteous and helpful. Beds were clean and no complaints about house-keeping. Rooms are really small but that's expected in an expensive part of California here.
