Very dangerous. Homeless around plus active drug sales arross parking area. Former fire captain. Packing my car at 545am for a bike race. Some homeless person on bike called for help. Found a unconscious male outside his room on sidewalk with door open. Lights off. Extremely dangerous situation. Had to call 911 and provided aid since he wasnt breathing. Had drugs in his hand. Could tell if anyone was in room. I shouldnt have to put my life in danger to stay at a place from choicehotels.com. i would stay away

I booked a one night stay here because my mom and I were looking for an economical hotel that was still nice. We were only going to be sleeping at the hotel for 6 hours so we didnāt want to pay over $200 for a room we were barely going to use. I checked the photos online and the reviews seemed good so I didn't expect anything to be wrong with this hotel. We entered out room and got hit with a strong odor immediately. It smelled like someone had been smoking in there but there was an attempt to cover it up with a cleaner or something. The room looked like the pictures but everything was dirty. The switch on the AC, the TV remote, and the telephone in the room were all covered in dirt and grime. I can only guess those aren't cleaned regularly at all. My mom woke up in the middle of the night because she felt itchy. She thought it might've been a mosquito so she turned on the light to see and found she was covered in bites. She pulled back the covers and found the culprit: bed bugs. We booked a room with two queen beds and, thankfully, mine didn't seem to have any bugs since I hadn't been bitten. We ended up sharing my bed for the remainder of the night but neither of us got much sleep since we were worried. The staff were kind and helpful but unfortunately, it just doesn't outweigh the cons. There was also some insinuation that WE brought the bed bugs from home.

This review may surprise some as it did for me. I checked in last night at around 10pm on 3/2. The front desk gentleman was very nice. No complaints. Check in was smooth and effortless. However, after getting to my room and eating dinner I am disturbed by loud noises outside. I look through the little hole in the door and I witness an older gentleman beating his wife out on the balcony. From what I could tell he had punched her a few times, and then proceeded to front kick her so hard she fell backward and smacked onto the balcony floor. I didn't see any staff come out for at least 10-15 minutes while this was going on. But even worse, when the gentleman did he did not call the cops, physically intervene, and merely issued them a warning. He called it their "first warning" and allowed them to go back to their room. The other guests were shouting at the couple to keep it down. The husband or boyfriend had a bluetooth speaker blaring loud hippie style music during the entire altercation. After the couple went into the room, they proceeded to yell at each other for at least an hour. At that point I packed up my things, left the key in the room and left. I stayed at another hotel down the street. But it gets better. When I called to request a refund the hotel manager refused saying they didn't have any other complaints. This is not true because the staff wouldn't have known about the incident unless someone had called the front desk. So here I am out $71 and I am unable to get a refund, so I am posting this review to let others know the total lack of hospitality and good will at Econo Lodge. I will never stay there again. They allowed domestic violence to occur in plain sight, did not call the cops, did not throw out the guests, and did not issue me a refund. An absolute failure of a hotel.

My daugher and her toddler needed a safe place for the night and she had just misplaced her credit card. I called the front desk and tried to reserve a room for her using my credit/debit card. I was told I could not pay for the room unless I was there in person to sign (I live across the country). I explained the issue to him, but he just repeated that I could not rent a room with a credit card unless I could sign the papers. I pointed out that this was leaving a mother and child without a safe place to sleep for the night. He said that it was not his problem. He added it was my daughter's fault for not being prepared to pay for her room. At that point I ended the conversation - I thought that with his attitude this hotel would not be an appropriate place for my daughter.

The staff at checkin were very friendly. The room was clean and appeared well maintained. The area the motel is located in is... just ok. There seemed to be various people hanging around the parking lot when I came in late one night, and one guy taking a leak against a wall (not the motels fault obviously). It is located close to amenities. Outside noise is minimal from inside the room. I was there for 2 nights on business and I would stay there again. The price is right, friendly staff, clean rooms, continental breakfast (I didnāt have the breakfast).
