If I could give just the location, access and view from our balcony FIVE stars, I would. Also, the quaint and colorful buildings are a great photo opportunity. Each door to the rooms are uniquely carved to give the outside structure real character. I would give the outside appearance FIVE stars. Unfortunately, I must rate the hotel on many other things that affect the overall quality and comfort once inside the room. The decor is very dated (we thought it might be more renovated inside by now) and is 3 star clean. The mattress was extremely firm bordering on hard and we didnât sleep well. The bathroom is so small that there was no place really to rest toiletries (there was a tiny shelf big enough for a couple of toothbrushes) and the shower was small. The shower products, especially the shampoo were not high quality but adequate for a one night stay. The parking lot is very tight so if you have anything other than a small sedan or compact, itâs a challenge maneuvering. On a positive note, everything is within walking distance so once you park your car $15/night, you can easily get to restaurants, the wharf, and shopping. While we wouldnât stay there again, we donât regret trying it for the one night. It wasnât noisy for us at all as others mentioned in previous reviews. We had read the reviews so we knew what to expect (or not to expect). If you want quick easy access to the beach, it might be worth trying.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. lovely view of the ocean. Close to plenty of cool things to do. Location is great. BUT Pretty much a run down hotel. You are paying for the location. WHICH would have been fine if the check in process wasnt absolutely painfully HORRIFIC.

Capitola is a small beach town about two hours away from me. This would be a mighty expensive establishment for my budget during the summer. But I've learned to schedule my trips in the off season. I went with family for one night in April 2023. These are small housing units complete with kitchens, bathrooms, living area and bedrooms. Bring your own food and have a good time laying on the sand a few steps from your lodging. The unit we rented was a two-bedroom. The check-in was smooth and the front desk staff was friendly. I wanted to support this town, which was heavily affected by the 2022 winter storms. Inside parking, proximity to the beach, location, amenities were all positives. Some units were dated while some looked newly renovated. I wish some units were pet friendly so I can take my dog for my solo trips. I recommend this establishment if your budget allows, and if you prefer housing unit amenities.

This is a quaint little place. It is strategically located in Capitola Village with the beach steps away. It is an older building- where the inside is dated. However, the bed was very comfortable. There are kitchenettes. But NO plates or silverware. They will provide this as an extra charge. We did not stay right close to the beach as that location you wonât have privacy and itâs noisy. The parking is convenient and Free!

The room is dated, the mattress is firm an sagging in the middle. The room has a complete kitchen, but donât even think you can have a meal or leftovers in your room as there are no utensils or dishes. The location is wonderful, but for the price the rooms and amenities are sorely lacking. Sorry, I wanted to love it.
