Cambria Hotel Calabasas Malibu

Stayed at Cambria Calabasas for Easter weekend 04/17-04/21, and it was a pleasant experience. The room was clean with plenty of towels and comfortable bedding. While I did bring my own curling iron and hair dryer there was a hair dryer in the room. Great that toiletries were also available in the shower(shampoo, conditioner and body wash). The bathroom mirror was a smart mirror with Bluetooth. The hotel has a boutique pool with cabanas and the restaurant offers early to late dining. Latte at 6:30am was perfect. Only draw backs were that the system was down for my check out so the team could not print my receipt and there was some sand on the floors upon arrival. Friendly staff and plenty of parking. Hiking trail behind the hotel for those that like some nature exercise close by. 4.5 out of stars otherwise.

Zero complaints, great experience. Staff are above excellent in attention and care. Place is kept in immaculate condition, constant cleaning and upgrades. We saw a few reviews complaining about the restaurant staff. In our experience, all Malibu Canyon Cafe staff were great. We observed how some guests (extreme wealth from the palisades area) treat the restaurant staff, so any standoffishness to us is warranted. We saw these folks talked down to frequently. Yet they return daily to serve. We praise Chelsea, Ivan and the team. Food is above average, true chef on premise. Everything we had was very good- clean and well prepared. Recommend the Ahi Tuna but get it with rice instead of wontons. That was a recommendation from Ivan. Great place, love the courtyard. It is like a getaway from the hustle of the area.

They wrongfully and without permission charged me $900 a day after I checked out. They had charged me when I checked in. And then decided to charge another $900 without consent. DO NOT STAY HERE. The manager also won’t answer the phone anymore after I called to get it refunded

So well located for exploring the Malibu area. The premises are clean, modern and stylish. Lovely small restaurant faces fire pits in the outdoor patio. There’s also a heated pool. Rooms are quiet with oversized baths. Coffee and tea in the room plus a small frig. Ticked all the boxes. We give it full marks!

Absolutely amazing experience. There is nothing that I can fault. The service, cleanliness comfort all 1st class. The beds and pillows are amazingly comfortable. The hotel at all times smells so nice and fresh. A shout out to the gentleman that tends the bar, so friendly and accommodating. Will be back.
