Old hotel, poor quality rooms. Been coming here since 2005, not much has changed as far as a major upgrade. The staff if horrendous, especially Ayla or Isla (curly hair). Truly terrible service and an absolute turn off, reminded me why this embassy is always my last option in Burlingame (doubleetree first, then the hilton, then hampton inn, then this lousy hotel) Beyond that, its a typical embassy suites, just poor service.

Thrash facing rooms available in this hotel. So whenever u book room here be careful and don't pay unless you check the view if room. Nowhere in world you will find a thrash facing room. But only in this hotel it's sad and very depressing if one had to stay in this rooms.

My family of three, two adults and an adult-size teenager, stayed here a couple of weeks ago. There were enough issues with the property that I would not choose to stay here again. We purposefully booked this hotel because it offered one-bedroom suites so that each of us could have our own bed. The sofa beds in this hotel are not usable for sleeping. The mattress is so thin that you are essentially laying on top of metal cross bars. The beds in the bedroom area are only full size beds (not queen size) and are not big enough for two adults. We suffered through the first night and were up very early searching for other hotel options. Our stay was for four nights and this room wasnât going to work. We called down to the front desk and asked if there might be other rooms available with a usable sofa bed and were told they were all the same but we could check another room if we wanted to. We checked the second room and the sofa bed was exactly the same. The easiest solution we could come up with was to reserve a second room. It was an expensive fix but saved us some hassle. They advertise rooms that sleep 6 people but the front desk knows that the sofa beds are unusable. The full size beds are too small so, in reality, the rooms only sleep two adults comfortably. But those adults won't be too comfortable because the hotel does not offer consistent climate control in the guest rooms. The air is controlled and set (on or off) by the hotel. The only thing we could do was circulate the air in the room by setting our thermostat to âfanâ. It just circulated hot air all night. There is an option to get new air into the room by opening the balcony door but that doesnât seem reasonable or safe and you get to hear the airplanes even louder if the door is open. I can understand setting temperature limits to avoid energy waste, but to have no control over the temperature of your room is not reasonable. This hotel is very dated. Considering the cost of living in the area and the tech workers that they cater to, youâd think they would focus on maintaining and updating the space. The television only had local cable with limited channels and the television was glitchy with sound going in and out constantly. The refrigerator randomly stopped working overnight on the last day of our stay leaving our leftovers spoiled. The pantry in the lobby had very limited offerings and ran out of water bottles one evening. While the front desk was very accommodating to us by finding us a second room (yes, we paid for two rooms for our 4 day stay), I observed them being very dismissive and rude to other guests. Iâm sure they get tired of hearing complaints about the rooms but guests have the right to request a solution if the hotel is not providing the services advertised. This hotel is not a great option for traveling families and is in need of a major structural renovation. Iâm sure there are better options in the area.

I highly recommend you stay somewhere else. We stayed at the Doubletree near SFO last weekend and had a horrible experience that involved multiple calls to the manager for noise issues and later a police visit. There were approximately a dozen people in the room and hallway next to ours having a âreally goodâ time⊠yelling, slamming doors, maybe playing video games. Kevin the manager assured us on our second call that they had been given a last warning, but we had to contact him again when nothing changed. Iâd speculate that putting a firmer foot down earlier could have stopped the issue and might even have prevented what we heard was a fight broken up by Burlingame PD later that night. If youâre not convinced to avoid this hotel, the pool was also disgusting. My kids will swim most anywhere but not here⊠not with 10 kids in the hot tub and a sickly color to the pool water. There was actually a birthday party being hosted at the hotel pool. Thatâs a first for me and definitely took away from hotel guests. Rooms seem accurately called out as 3 stars - dated and the A/C wasnât cooling sufficiently.

This hotel was great. Many great amenities. We were here from Texas for a business appt for my husband. We are from the Bay Area and we chose this hotel because the hotels in downtown were outrageous in price. We were concerned with homeless and illegals being "boarded" at hotels in the area. We felt super safe here. No problems at all. I walked on this great walking path that is along the bay in front of the hotel. We used the weight room. The pool and hot tub looked fantastic, but we did not use them. We ate at the breakfast each morning. The breakfast alone is a great reason to stay. Basically anything you could think of - omelets (made to order), eggs, bacon, potatoes, pastries, cereals, fruit and more - really everything- and everything was good. The drink reception is great too. Two drinks per guest per day and they also had snacks. The staff was friendly and courteous. The room was clean and the view was incredible. We did eat at the restaurant both nights we stayed. The first night it was just the two of us, the next night our family joined and we had a party of 7. The food was good, everything was served correctly. Prices were comparable with this area. We did not get the best waiter (same guy both nights). He left much to be desired. Didn't check back for drink refills and did not come back at all once food was served. The price for this hotel definitely rivals staying in SF. It is close to the airport. We could see the planes arriving but far enough away to not be loud. The shuttle from the airport never showed up, but we were able to use it going back to SFO. We even saw them cleaning the trim and light fixtures in the lobby. Lots of areas to work and visit in the atrium. We would definitely stay again. This will be where we stay when we are in the Bay Area. Highly recommend!
