Courtyard by Marriott Pasadena Old Town

Great location!! Hotel is perfect if you are staying in LA! Went with our kids and its location is hard to beat. Pasadena is so quaint and there are good restaurants and shopping within walking distance. We went to a Dodger game, explored Pasadena and went to Griffith park. The hotel itself is really clean. The beds are extremely comfortable and the breakfast in the lobby was delicious! Our kids enjoyed the pool and spa too. Pasadena is a perfect location if you are heading to LA but don’t want to stay in crazy downtown LA area.

I love this hotel. The location is perfect- right next to old town where all the great shopping and restaurants are. The lobby is brand new and beautiful! I couldn't recommend it more. The bar was also lively and a good place to grab a drink. This is my new place to stay when I'm in Pasadena.

The Courtyard in Pasadena has seen better days. The staff are inattentive, if not absent altogether. Our suite was equipped for only 2 guests, even though I booked it for 3. We had to call the front desk 3 times to get pillows for the sofa bed & a 3rd set of towels (the latter didn’t arrive until the 2nd day of our stay). The suite (360) is spacious, but there’s a lot of empty space & not enough counter space, particularly in the bathroom. The windows appear to be very old, despite the recent renovation, & are difficult to open. The window in the bedroom comes down like a guillotine. & forget about having your beds made, your garbage dumped or your coffee restocked. The hotel’s location is great, but the service & room don’t warrant the price ($350/night). I’ve been coming to this hotel for years & am a Bonvoy member, but will now go to the Courtyard or the Holiday Inn in Monterey Park.

DO NOT STAY HERE! The worst hotel experience ever! When I came to check in Bryan Dominguez the Front Office Supervisor told me that he had given my room away even though I had a fully confirmed reservation because he said I did not check in by 5pm. I then got a room at another hotel. When I checked hotels.com it stated that Dominguez had charged my credit card. Apparently this courtyard is known for overbooking rooms and then giving them away when someone offers Dominguez extra money.

The location is good, close to good food and restaurants. But the room smells very bad, had to keep the window open. The carpet is not cleaned. The elevator is not cleaned. The room service only came to replace towels. And the breakfast downstairs provides rotten vegetables.
