Outstanding service as always when we stay with Tru. Clean spacious rooms with plenty of amenities on premises. The free breakfast never disappoints. We were here for the MLB Desert Invitational at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. The hotel was a short five minute drive to the stadium. There are plenty of food and entertainment options in the area. This uncles a number of restaurants and bars a short walk from the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel off traveling to the area. Outstanding, accommodating and friendly service.

First of all, this stay cost over $1,000 for three days, but it’s Scottsdale, so I figured it would be worth it. I’m really disappointed. 1. The attention to detail is sorely lacking. The room we selected on our check in on the app wasn’t ready when we arrived at 4:05 so without even asking, we were assigned another room in a less desirable location and much, much smaller. We saw it thru the open door as we walked by in the hallway after we unpacked. Boo! Why aren’t rooms chosen by Honors members cleaned first? 2. The walls, shades and furniture in our room are very worn and the shade has a big black mark on it. 3. The glass on our shower was filthy and I had to immediately ask housekeeping to clean it. 4. The light switch by the door works intermittently and you have to stand there and hit it multiple times to get it to stay on or off. 5. We told the housekeeping staff and the front desk that we didn’t need housekeeping while we were here, but just needed some extra towels, hand towels, and washcloths to get thru our three nights. We received one extra set and were told to contact the front desk to get more. I’m still waiting on day three for the towels, wash cloths and hand towels we requested yesterday morning. Why is it so hard to get what you need to shower in hotels! 6. The breakfast is less than and the staff have been less than friendly despite our polite and appropriate requests. Would avoid this property at this price and won’t stay here again. Hilton is going downhill and it makes me sad. Basic needs are not fulfilled for the prices we are forced to pay.

We recently stayed at TRU by Hilton Salt River for five nights, and while the experience had some positives, there were several disappointing aspects that warrant attention. The accommodations were adequate but lacked certain comforts. The room had no carpet flooring, which may suit some preferences but felt a bit sterile. Additionally, there was only one chair provided for a room meant for two guests. Upon arrival, we noticed maintenance and supply issues: the sink faucet was loose and about to fall off, and the body wash dispenser in the shower was empty. We reported these concerns to the front desk, and while they were quick to respond by delivering replacement bottles and sending a repairman, the repair technician did not speak English, making communication challenging. Housekeeping service was inconsistent. A notice in the room stated that towels would be replaced, trash emptied, and the bed serviced every other day. After the second night, while towels were replaced and the trash was emptied, the bed was not serviced. We reported this to the front desk, and they apologized, but the issue persisted. On the third night, we ran out of toilet paper and requested more from the front desk. Although they assured us someone would bring it up, no one ever did. We ultimately had to take a roll from a housekeeping cart in the hallway. The most frustrating experience occurred after our fourth night. Housekeeping arrived at 8 a.m. while we were still in the room, and we requested they return later. However, when we returned that evening, no service had been provided. Upon inquiry, the front desk informed us that their system showed we had refused service, which was untrue. We asked to speak with a manager, but none were available at the time. The front desk staff assured us the manager would contact us later that evening or by noon the following day. As of this writing, it has been three days, and we have not received any follow-up. While the front desk staff were kind and courteous throughout our stay, the lack of follow-through from management and the inconsistent housekeeping services were disappointing. Unfortunately, this experience fell short of the standards we expected from a Hilton property.

This is our hotel of choice whenever we need one in Phoenix. I have stayed here with family and alone on business. Rooms are modern in design and comfortable. Never had a bad experience here. Rooms are quiet and you do not hear the freeway sounds. Great pool and hot tub. Good breakfast selections.

This appears to be a newish Hilton product, in this case in an area which appears to be under development as a kind of office park. The room was quite small but had everything I needed, if I had anything negative it would be that the airconditioner was rather noisy. The room rate was much more reasonable than for hotels in Scottsdale proper, but the location is not inconvenient, being pretty close to the freeway. There is no restaurant but breakfast is included and is adequate. Very good value for money, which happened to matter to me in this case.
