Budget Inn Ardmore

This doesn't even fit under a motel category. It is the scariest place I've ever stayed and when this tired I generally don't mind a low budget motel, but the fact that it's in the most dangerous city in the state of Oklahoma, and in a very rough area I can't believe Trip Advisor even shows this facility. It has a bed, a TV from the 90's, no phone, no clock/alarm, holes in the walls, and it's just out right scary. I can't get the booking company to answer the phone so it appears I'll either stay and pay, or pay for 2 hotels tonight. The plus is the staff member was very friendly, but that's the only plus. I'm sure they rent these rooms by the hour it's down right awful. They have a blanket over the window as blinds and a curtain, and the AC is a very old school window unit, and btw it's a smoking only hotel and even though I requested Non-smoking they don't offer that here. I apologize for rambling, but if it prevents anyone else from experiencing this nightmare it was worth the ramblings. I respect Trip Advisor and always use them, but I am shocked they would want anyone they do business with to stay in a place like this, as I'm thinking a truck stop in the car would be a safe & cleaner alternative.
