"Quality" should DEFINITELY be in quotation marks for this hotel. Front desk staff - awkward and not competent. Told me (female traveler alone) - "Go over there, into that dark part, up the dark steps, then around the corner to your room". Ummm.... If you describe that area as a "dark part", perhaps PUT IN A LIGHT? Room - a bit smelly and looked like it was from 1979. Tub drain not attached - floats during shower. Filter for ac/heater filthy. Property - no cleanings. Big sign when you check-in saying there is not daily cleaning, but shouldn't there at least be cleaning of the MAIN SPACES? Garbage on the ground - the same garbage during my 3 night stay (including the used Q-Tip - gross). Bags of garbage outside rooms grew during my stay - maybe they could just pick them up and dispose of them? Website and the corporate website I booked through say property is pet free, yet upon checking in there is a sign about additional fee for dogs and no other pets allowed. Rugs flipped over and sticking up - fall hazard. I don't think there is an elevator to get to the 2nd floor - ADA violation. Not a convenient location if you do not have a rental car. Cannot walk to much from hotel. In short - book another property unless you want to rent by the hour or by the week. This is not a business traveler or family property.

Very disappointed with the Manitou Springs, CO Quality Inn & Suites. It does not meet the standard of other Quality Innâs we have stayed at, including not having 24-hour staff on site. From my credit card statement, it appears to have been an EconoLodge at one time. While the room was clean, the attempt to update and renovate is lacking. The painted walls had missed spots and holes where something had been previously hung. The new Bathroom sink faucet wasnât tight and moved when you turned the water on. Had to go ask for the missing soap for the sink & shower. The sink area of the bathroom was huge, while the toilet and shower shared a closet space. You had to step into the shower or squeeze yourself between the wall and toilet to close the door. Rather than fix the shower ceiling it was just painted over. The work in this room was obviously done haphazardly. While the bed was nice and firm, the comforter needed a good wash to remove stains. The breakfast never changed during our stay. The hot items were the same every day. There was never any fresh fruit and by the end of our stay the Bagels were going stale. As the old saying goes âIf you canât do a good job, then donât do it at all.â

The room was in good repair, but I didn't find the room very attractive. I think it was the light blue wall paint clashing with the dark brown furniture, and the sole room's picture was missing. Somebody had ripped it off the wall. The room had a large bathroom and an invigorating shower.

The experience was far below expectations. Bathroom Design and Privacy: The glass sliding door shower, toilet, and washbasin are inconveniently located in different parts of the room. The lack of a door or curtain for the glass shower room means that there is no privacy, as it is visible from the rest of the room! Additionally, one corner of the shower room had visible mold. Cleanliness Issues: I found dead insects in the ceiling lightâs lampshade, which is both unappealing and unhygienic. There was also a large dirty shoe print on the quilt upon our arrival, which was addressed only after we reported it. Blinds and Window Privacy: Upon check-in, we discovered that the blinds were non-functional and there were no curtains over the windows, compromising our privacy. Toiletries: The toiletries provided were excessively small and inadequate for a comfortable stay.

I spent a weekend here when visiting the area for a friend's wedding. The property is huge, and seems like it once was quite nice, and hasn't been well maintained in years. There are several large pot holes in the parking lot, but that's almost forgettable compared to the condition of the rooms. They all seem like they went through a super cheap, low end rennovation project. Everything about the rooms looks cheap yet sort of new. All the lighting in the room was harsh, compact florescent with that cold, blue-ish color that made the entire room feel like a prison. The AC unit was loud loud LOUD. Sort of like a jet engine taking off all the time, plus it struggled to cool the room. The fridge in the room made a horrible buzzing noise nearly all the time until I unplugged it just to make it stop. There are huge piles of trash from the rennovation sitting beside one of the buildings, and random boxes of supplies piled up in the corridors. The office is closed from 11pm until 7AM every day, and they were handing out extra spare key cards "in case you lose 1 key at night". The bedding was thin, scratchy and flimsy, with beat up foam pillows that seemed to be from decades past. The wifi worked fine. Literally nothing else was remotely good.
