One of our favorite Cambridge/Boston hotels. Reminds me of old style luxury with the door man and eager to please front desk. We have stayed multiple times and have always received great service as Bonvoy Titanium members. No concierge lounge, but they provided drink and breakfast vouchers for the bar and restaurant. Staff goes above and beyond and we always look forward to our stay.

Pretty nice hotel. Comfortable, nice location, very walkable area near shopping and a bunch of restaurants. 5 minute walk to one of our favorites, Little Donkey. The room was pretty spacious and at least had a little bit of a view. The bed was very comfortable. My only knock - and it is a personal preference - the pillows were too soft! Parking is in a parking garage right next door. Very convenient with in and out privileges. For a hotel in the Cambridge area, I would recommend this.

I had read the reviews and I prepared to not be wowed by this hotel. We came on short notice due to a sporting event and our options were limited. However, when we pulled up and first walked in, I was thinking that the reviews were wrong- sadly they weren’t. First off, their parking is in a garage “next door.” It’s about a half block away, which isn’t bad but is annoying when you have a lot of things with you. There was no noticeable bell hop service when we pulled up. The elevators in the garage were broken our entire stay, which was very annoying. The lobby is actually nice! It’s well decorated and has cozy seating areas which we used as we were with a large group. We did eat in the hotel restaurant/ bar one night. The food was mediocre at best and the drinks were not great. One member of my party actually asked the bartender if she could come and make her own drink. Our room was darkly lit, I think to hid the fact that it was not very clean and needed much updating. The handle on the closet door kept falling off- which was loud and also inconvenient, as u had to then pry the door open with your fingers. The bathroom has seen better days and could use a complete gut job. The shower was very dingy looking. On a postive note, the location is great if you have reason to be at MIT and we enjoyed all the dining options nearby.

Our go to spot and could not be any more grateful for the team. From Ms. Daxandra who's personality truly embodies the spirit of hospitality, with the "yes I can" attitude, to the restaurant staff for breakfast, waiters and chefs, always a delight to come to breakfast every morning. We, obviously are returning, however wanted to acknowledge the amazing work you all are doing. Thank you

I booked this because I trust the Marriott name. I paid over $600 a night because I believed the hotel would live up to the price. I was wrong on both accounts. Upon arrival, there was a horrible smell coming from the lobby. Not just a bad smell but a truly vulgar detestable smell like a mountain of diapers and sewage gas. I expected the hotel agent checking us in to explain he did not. Perhaps he thought I wouldn’t notice? When I inquired, I was simply told they were doing street work and the lady at the desk referenced an orange sheet that she would not share with me but held up and waved around as though this solved the problem. They were doing street work that was true however there was never a smell out in the street. This smell lived only in the lobby the elevator the hallways and the guest rooms. It was truly toxic, and I’m sure a health concern in addition to an annoyance. To make things worse, there was no Internet at this location until after 6 PM. Even then I had to work with their IT to get it to actually work. The hotel keys enabled you to go to any floor there was zero security put in place. There was no valet or security at the door were told to park for $50 a night down the street. They offered breakfast buffet vouchers. However, the restaurant was in the lobby where the smell remained so these were pointless. I could have stayed anywhere and I should have stayed anywhere else. If you were looking for a hotel in this area go somewhere else almost every other hotel is less than this and if you do want luxury go to the hotel it would’ve only been about $100 more than this hotel and I guarantee about 1000 times nicer. I will stay at Meridian again. I also contacted Marriott about this more than 48 hours ago they have yet to respond, which tells you a lot.
